Haven't played this in a while. How have the numbers during the free weekend been?
I assume at the same time that the free trial ends, which is on the 3rd
Did anyone save the webm files of the "Titanfaru Standby" thread when the mod to play with the japanese voices came to light?
I've seen about 24-30k players on PS4 compared to usually around 16k, I assume that xbox and PC see the same kind of increase.
When were you on? I was playing Saturday night around 1am MT and it was only around 6K players. Maybe that's too late and it had dropped off?
PC? Probably accurate. The consoles did get a bump. X1 was around 20k for most of the weekend.
I doubt this weekend had any real impact. Most of the randoms i talked to said they were having fun for a few min but didn't plan on picking up the game. Number 1 reason given? It felt like it didn't have depth. I guess that's what happens when you fill your game with tons of cheese. Even the general population can see it.
Most of us saw this from the start. You kept saying it needed little fixes, but when the foundation is already busted, there's not much you can do. You could see that there was a large change of vision from the first to the sequel. It's sad. Titanfall is an amazing concept, but it's been mishandled badly with this sequel.

Map design change was to make the game more predictable. The first game was a chaotic mess that had zero predictability in the pilot vs pilot aspect of the game. Steve Fukuda said it best.
"Internally, we played the game and came out of the play session thinking, "That was super exhausting. That was super chaotic." Why is that? We struggled with trying to answer what it was.
What it came down to was, it was difficult for players to have a predictably unpredictable kind of experience"

I'll gladly take this Black Ops 2 like melee system where it's useless compared to the previous where Commando Lundges were possible
Doesn't seem like Respawn dudes visit this thread anymore and i'm partly to blame for that, i know.... i still spent $$$ on the recent dlc stuff so fucking whatever man =)
Anyways, some fixes that would go a long way but i'm sure we will not see for months or ever.
This is a quick list of fixes that would go a long way in making the game that much better, if these people weren't so stubborn and implemented them we could all celebrate.
- Volt buff
- G2 nerf
- Pilot glow reduction
- Frontal melee hits
- Private match customization
- In air gun accuracy increases
- Reduce sun glare on certain maps
- Amped weapons no longer stackable
- Hold "x" to rodeo consistency improvement
- Stim boost to health to the start and not at the end of the initiation

Yeah, hold x to rodeo just out right doesn't work at all for me. I feel like you need to be holding it at the same time the icon pops up, which kinda defeats the point.
I think what it is, is that if you don't hold it, rodeo is disabled but the game only let's you climb on at specific windows. Like, why even have the icon there then?
I'm waiting for the next update. This one was probably the worst so far for me. That being said, I still regularly enjoy the original game and I think they can nail Frontier Defence.
Yeah I hate the "hold button to rodeo" change. It's not toggleable in the options is it?

It seems that very few people outside of NA play it.Have been matchmaking for Colony 24/7 for the past 30 minutes and it still hasn't found a match... PS4 in Australia here. Numbers are dwindling around these parts it seems. Even regular matchmaking has taken a massive dive after the Christmas boost. Such a shame.
Anyone else prefer the R1 button for shooting than R2?
I feel like i'm in the minority, a lot of developers are actual removing the option to use R1 for shooting, i will seriously not buy a online multiplayer if they do this. I wasn't going to get TF2 if it wasn't for the button remapping option on the ps4.
I find the R2 trigger takes longer(compared to the R1 button) from pressing it to the character actually shooting due to the the way the button is designed, that few milliseconds annoys me. Anyone else feel the same way or do i just need to git gud?
If you're using a Dualshock, it's because the triggers are garb
