Well, Lisa was lieutenant of 8 before she got tossed.
Rose and Kensei were captains of 3 and 9 respectively so they were just taking their seats back from Gin and Tousen (just like Shinji took his old seat back from Aizen).
I guess Kubo forgot Love exists. Instead of offscreening Iba up several power levels, he could've just had Love take his old seat back as Squad 7 captain.
All this talk of it ending has made me want to do a rewatch of the anime, considering I only watched until the end of the Soul Society arc. Thanks for the link.

Some people say Renji is the big jobber of the manga but really no one jobs harder than the vizards as a whole. These guys even jobbed against enemies they're naturally super effective against.

I had such high hopes for the Vizards when we first saw them. Probably the best reveal of any group in the manga but in the grand scheme of things they were merely fodder. : (

To be fair, Love and the other three Vizards who didn't come back to begin with got fucking cocksmacked when they pulled their "surprise bitch" attack for one panel.
Tbh I wouldn't skip the fillers other than the Bounts.
The Replacement Captain arc is better than pretty much anything Kubo put out after SS, and the fights in the fillers are actually better than anything Kubo wrote, because they were actually allowed to be creative instead of "My power up beat your power up".

One argument for fillers is that there were some pretty good fights in the Zanpakuto Rebellion and Clone arcs.

Honestly, I probably got more enjoyment from the zanpakuto filler arc than anything that followed it. At least until it dragged its feet at the end, as everything in Bleach is wont to do.

Zanpaukto was pretty great if only for Hollow ichigo doing his thing and that sweet choregraphy.
I mean look at this shit.
Sometimes I wish Hollow Ichigo was the MC, would have all of ichigo's fights a lot more interesting in the anime at least

I don't think Ichigo/Rukia is happening but I don't see anything in that chapter that indicates that Renji got any. He was trolling her about needing to carry her to her own ceremony.

TBF. Grimmjow also jobbed in this arc. I mean he was taken down in one hit by Askin. So, Shinji also jobbing is not that big of a surprise. He jobbed to somebody more powerful than Askin at least.

Thank you for reminding me that Askin off paneled Ichigo right after he did Grimmjow.
Supposedly it increased their reiatsu and gave them dual reiatsu or something like that.
