Tite Kubo's Bleach Manga Nears Ending

Ah.

Wow that's so long ago I don't even dare to try recall.

Well yeah, but there are people that are paying attention to the ending now that haven't paid attention to the series since then. I know I'm one of them, just popping in to see how everyone that was in the story back then ended. Did the same thing with Naruto.

We need to have a list of shounen manga of this type that actually ended well.

The only ones off the top of my head that I can think of are:

-Yu Yu Hakusho

Yu Yu Hakusho had a pretty awkward final arc with pacing that went from 0 to 50000 mph in like 2 episodes. I dunno about calling that a good ending.

Joins Hitman Reborn! as another shit ending (Reborn might be worse due to nothing fucking progressing for the protag though)

-Flame of Recca
-Psyren
-Kongou Banchou

I heard Rurouni Kenshin also ends well but I never read the full thing...

Claymore's ending was satisfying as fuck, and I think it qualifies as shounen manga. Goddamn, the difference between that and this is huge. I'm so goddamn happy I stopped following this after they beat weird Butterly Aizen way back when.

They are, though? It's as bad and unjustified as Naruto/Hinata, except the latter got a freakin' movie to explain somewhat why they got together. Ichigo and Orihime have never had chemistry or meaningful interaction since the Arrancar Arc, lmao.

Not trying to argue pairings tho, I don't want to stoop to that level

I mean, Ichigo is practically asexual and hasn't had any meaningful interaction with anyone since FKT. The only thing that made since for him was ending up with no one/Aizen.

Ichigo took her to the final battle. That's basically a marriage proposal in battle shonen terms.

I dropped Bleach years ago but I'm still disappointed by the ending. I've always hated
Ichi and Ori as a couple(they look related)
and the conclusion sounds even more annoying than Naruto's.

I'm 2 for 2 with the main pairings of Naruto and Bleach.
In 2038 One Piece is gonna end with
Luffy x Hancock
Those two better happen...and
ZoroxNami.

Orihime was in love with Ichigo and he obviously cared for her so it's not that big of a stretch. I felt this was the expected ending.

Gash Bell had a really good ending.

Nope that ending is rushed.

Haha, you're right. I had to go back to that final arc. I wouldn't call the overall ending of the series terrible though.

I have mixed feelings on Claymore because I feel there was some potential lost but I won't go into that here. For what it was, it was fine.

fun fact: Togashi cancelled his own manga as a protest against his editors, and still gave YYH a good ending.

He also wrapped up the major throughline of his next series in an emotionally satisfying way after a decade and a half before launching the next arc so everyone got closure in case, you know, the actual series dies

I'm pretty sure the risk isn't the series dying, but Togashi dying from pain.

This ending tho

I'm just laughing at how terrible those spoilers sound. Wow. I mean, we should have known it would be bad given Kubo terrible writing and having to rush out an ending on top of that.

Did anyone really think Ichigo wasn't going to
Marry Orihime

Like

That shit was telegraphed since the first arc

I swear to God these spoilers make Naruto's ending, which i hated, look like fucking Shakespeare.

I'll never forget the utter backlash against Naruto Marrying HInata, even though that was telegraphed since the Chunin exams.

Also it gave us this masterful comic-

Now that's some bull. I didn't even like Rukia and Ichigo but they were built up from the beginning. Orihime liking Ichigo was only that and it never felt mutual. Ori had better chemistry with Ishida.

I agree about Naruto and Hinata though. They made sense and were the best couple to come from it all.
