I haven't posted in this thread in months, and I'm not sure what to say that others, and those who played with him far more than I had opportunity or good sense to, have already said, but I wanted to add my voice to the chorus of condolences.

The DGAF community and the rest of the world, lost someone special.

I don't know how he did it; the way he would appear when most needed. My best memory of this is HM Crota: we'd struggle for a while and finally have to call in the big gun. Drizz would appear, sword Crota like a fucking ninja not once, but as many times as we needed to get everyone their clears, then take off into the ether to go help more folks like some sort of goddamn superhero.

Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I'd played with him more. I guess I made the same mistake we all tend to, assuming he'd always be there.

Thanks for everything you did for me, our little raid group, and the DGAF community, Drizz.

Fake edit: Man, that Urk tweet. Oof.

I'd recommend that you hide the link in the OP in email tags, if the guestbook is any indication. There are some sad, shameless dregs in the world incapable of basic human respect and dignity.

WTF NOOOOO. Drizzy helped me get my flawless. Such a nice guy a always willing to help others. He was and is an example for others. RIP Guardian.

Wowwww. RIP. Spent hours reading the OT. I'd literally refresh between raids and loading screens for like a year and a half. Sad.

Such sad news. I have been away from DGAF, but still active on Destiny. Just needed a larger pool to find quicker responses for tasks I wanted to do.

Drizzay helped me and other get flawless.

I still remember matchmaking against Drizzay in trials a few months back, and I managed to go 12-4. I was elated just to beat Drizzay knowing how good he was at Crucible. Don't think I could ever do that again. I don't even know if Drizzay remembered me, but I immediately knew who he was.

Oh man. Drizz helped me get the platinum not even a month ago. He was so patient and supportive. And I really enjoyed watching his trials streams. Gone too soon. Rest in peace, drizz.

Deleted, since we ended up with a shameless dreg posting.

To DrDrizzay101,

I miss you so much buddy. I can't stop crying today after I found out, and while I continue to get caught up in Discord and this thread, it continues to make me cry. The amount of love you shared with us all is invaluable to all of us guardians.

When I first joined DestinyGAF in November 2014, DrDrizzay101 was the first person to welcome me with open arms. I joined him for dailies or random PvE events. He was then the sword bearer for my first ever Flawless run. I posted this picture on my Facebook on January 11, 2015 when I achieved Guardian Lord:

He was a guy I admired because not only was he extremely talented in Destiny, he was always very humble, positive, kind, and helpful, which are all qualities of an amazing person. Our relationship continued to build. I was always willing to join him to help with Flawless raids and Trials. He took over people's accounts on XB1 and I was able to join him in helping DGaffers on both consoles and he was ALWAYS appreciative of me helping him, when I was appreciative of him for wanting to help others. I always looked forward to helping people, especially with him.

As many other have stated, he was just everywhere. He was always in our streams supporting and hyping up the chat, if he wasn't actually playing with us and trying to hype up everyone. He was that guy. When I finally made a Discord for all of us to hang out, it was a no brainer for me to make him a mod instantly, and same as for my Stream. Many times he'd be the ONLY one in my stream, supporting me.

He's always give me advice on how to improve and he did the same with everybody who he played with. I always took his advice and I've always been forever thankful for everything he's taught me. I always looked forward to playing with him whether it's PvE or PvP.

Many nights I've stayed up way passed my bedtime on a worknight, helping him carry people to Mercury and I'll always cherish those times. There were times we faced top tier guys for the final boss and conquered it and the feels always made the many attempts worth it and I'm thankful we had someone like him that was ALWAYS willing to help.

Another random memory: when Bloodborne came out, a few of us DGAFfers were in a party, all playing Bloodborne. Drizz had already beaten it and I was stuck on a boss and he quickly offered help. Destiny friendship transcended into other games and that has never happened with me in any other game. I don't know if I would have kept playing this game and stuck with this community if it hadn't been for him welcoming me with open arms and being the person that he was.

I miss him so much.

I didn't know last week's Trials run was going to be our last ;(

Rest in Paradise, buddy. I'm still in denial but you were a closer friend to me and had a huge impact on me than you probably ever knew.

Lastly, I want to leave y'all with this dream I had with him in it and Todd drew:

The DestinyGAF community is awesome, welcoming and incredibly helpful-and a large part of that was Drizz. He was a really nice guy and helped me earn my Year One Triumphs.

Too young. This is really sad news.

Terrible news to wake up to.

Drizzay, you will be missed, thank you for carrying me and countless noob guardians and helping us conquer The Vault of Glass and many other raids.

RIP, Friend, and Guardian

Platinum Trophy: Learned to Shit While Upright Again.
I may have not been very close to him personally, but I always respected and joined up any time he requested something out of me

I'm gonna be missing his sarcasm or his laugh while doing totems
Making him laugh by doing something stupid and he seeing it and calling it

Those memories are floating in and out
I can still hear his distinct voice the first time I came back from my 1 year hospital stay and came into a PSN chatroom, him being the same Drizzay just more wiser...

Still feels raw knowing your gone, you were the Steward of DGAF, a Pillar whose foundation is laid by helping others, you stand tall my friend

Thank you, miss you. RIP, hope theres a fire team in Heaven thats just got 1 more Trials run in them to lead you to the glory that is Mercury...

Fuck, this is just awful. Way too young. He helped me get my Destiny platinum and was always a pleasure to play with. RIP guardian. Any gofundme or anything to help support his family?

Rest in Peace Drizzay,

I was never big into destiny gaf, but it seems he brought new friends togeather and its always sad to see one of our own move on from this life. My thoughts are with his family, its a damn shame he was taken from us so early.
