This panel man.. One of the favorites. Still not convinced he's ready for Arima yet as much as i'd love him to be.
I'm confused on Kaneki's memories. Did he get IXA'd a few more times in the cell and finally lost them or did he just ... forget it because of mental trauma ? I would very much not want the latter to be the case. Maybe the scene we got here was just him loosing the last vestiges of them ?

Short chapter compared to last week, but that's alright! Just standard establishment of each group (although we've hardly seen any Aogiri other than Miza's goons, odd) so far. Can definitely see Kaneki's struggle here: while Arima did end his previous life, he also gave him a new one. It's hard to tell which 'job' he's talking about, since he could be referring to his CCG duty or his infiltration mission, but I'm counting on the latter. Also hard to tell if Kaneki is the one who opened the cells or if he was just reacting to it.

plenty of development for all characters in :re tho, it's the same with the original TG
kaneki doesn't really have anyone to live for other than Hide too
what's up with his headaches tho, he got one during the Tsukiyama arc, which everyone thought it was just his Kaneki memories coming back and he's been sweating a lot

The only thing dead after this chapter is the Hide=Washuu theory. No self respecting Washuu would go along with such an idiotic plan.
Speaking of bad plans, Kaneki should have done his briliant keikaku when Arima was out hunting Shachi or chilling out in V headquarters and not when he was exactly 100 meters away.
That last page got me, I must say. ;_; Ishida better not turn this arc into Marineford.

yeah they said Arata was captured alive, I wonder if Hikari was related to V, there's no reason why CCG was actively hunting them down when Arata doesn't even want to kill people, but something is fishy when he's not killing human but had a history of cannibalizing, pretty much exactly the same as Kaneki was doing in TG

Great chapter. It's always been unlikely that Hide was alive, but this pretty much seals the deal. I still wonder who Touka was visiting in the hospital though.
There's a lot of theories going about what's going to happen here; I don't think Amon is here, but is on the island instead. I also don't think Donato or Eto will get released as it seems Hinami was on the upper layers, there's no real reason for Kaneki or Ayato to go deeper. Wonder if we'll get Furuta vs Kaneki... who knows what guy is thinking.
Also I just know next chapter is going to switch to Rue and it's going to kill me.

CCG hunts all ghouls regardless of their feeding habits. Don't think Hikari buying the farm is very suspicious. As for Arata, it's hard to speculate when we hardly know anything about him. Cannibalism meant he didn't have to collect as much human meat as would be the case otherwise. It might have been just that. (+ the boost in power)
-The above pic kinda omits some of the more important bits in favour of some pointless drabble but ehhh. Simply reread Touka's flashback from her fight with Ayato and Uta's story about Yomo from before the Anteiku arc. In the latter, there is even a panel of someone apologising for not being able to protect Yomo's sister and he looks exactly like Arata.
Other than that:
- Hikari looks very much like his sister.
- The "thing" that Yoshimura gave to Yomo to "calm" him down were probably the children of his sister/Hikari who, while he was on his revenge quest against Arima, lost their father as well.
The other stuff is kind of superficial, but I never really thought about that panel much. Makes sense. The theory about what Yoshimura did is good too.
Also funny enough, those panels with Arima/Kaneki might have been one of the first parallels between them! Wonder if there are more in the original TG.

Hmm not the way I thought that fight would go down. Sure we knew ken would kick his ass, but that seemed a little off putting to me. Furuta was a little too cartoony. It was funny but he was a freaking clown, no pun intended. Furuta was always psychotic and an even bigger wacko here, but I expected for him to present himself as a more menacing threat. He definitely hasn't showed all his cards yet though. Concerning Renji, all these flashbacks then immediately said character dies or nearly dies, is getting repetitive. I feel like the situation is dragging a little and thus the tension is dropping. Maybe its just me though, after all,being amazed for like a month straight with revelations and then reading the current chapters can do that to you. Or maybe my hype levels are down after watching batman v superman yesterday.
