Just do it through Amazon. They don't charge till the game ships.

Yeah you can absolutely customize your Agent. From character creation to what they wear. There are 3 weapon slots (primary, secondary, sidearm), six stat changing armor slots, and six cosmetic slots. Cosmetic slots layer so if you have say body armor on, your jacket will go over top, or you can completely unequip the jacket and just rock the body armor. They want your Agents to be unique to you. There's also male / female, different hair styles, facial features, tattoos, ect.. List goes on.

Yes on Amazon.

Great,

I preordered through Bestbuy, said up to 72hours, and Amazon said up to 2 days.

I did with BB since I have GCU. But pending beta, we'll see if I keep it.

I think you/your party enter PVP mode the second you enter a Dark Zone, don't think there is any outside of it.

You can absolutely party up outside the Dark Zone and enter together. You'll see everyone in your party on both sides. There's no magic poof they're there. You'll see them hop over the wall or go through the
air lock
[spoiler alert?] together.

When can we expect the Beta date announcement?

Yeah I meant I don't think there is any PVP outside of dark zones, not any lobbies.

I just preordered on Amazon and got my code and registered. But, don't have the beta code or know when this starts? Reading this thread sounds like it has started?

If there are questions asked that I don't answer, please be aware that I'm not simply ignoring you, it's just there is so much about the game I can't tell you guys yet. Yet is the key word though.

The team is as excited for you to play as the media teams are to open the flood gates on information. They've changed so much based on community feedback from E3 and other conventions in such a positive way.

I had ~5 devs sitting on stools behind me watching me play with eyes glued at one time worrying if I was going to like it or not because this was the first opportunity people have had to play the game outside of internal tests with no barriers. Didn't take long for me to turn around and smile and nod my head. They knew right then and there.

You obviously have a personal investment in the success of the game, but bias be damned, I'm hyped again. Guess I'm gullible.

I really cannot wait to explore New York City. How would you say the game felt in comparison to other third person shooters such as Gears of War (my fave) and Ghost Recon etc.? That is if you can even answer that question.

I am absolutely invested in this title and brand. Thom Clancy, the authors son, is a personal friend of mine. I wish nothing for the family but success. I've been with this team for three years. Sink or swim, I'm with them 100%.

Digital can you answer this for me. I'm unclear if the Dark Zone is the only way to play MP in The Division. Example: Lets say for instance I want to play CTF (im just throwing this out there) can I play Multiplayer without logging into the game and traveling to the dark zone? is there a 6V6 mode or something like that with lobbies? ALSO second question do GREEN zones still exist in this game? Areas that you can interact with other players not in your party but not have the fear of combat? ( LIke the Tower in Destiny)

Not as fast as Ghost Recon but not as heavy and clunky as Gears. It's a way more natural transition between snapping from cover to cover and peaking out to shoot. Some of the transitions are really fucking cool too like sliding into and out of cover and sliding over the hoods of cars.

Cant answer the first part fully but I can say yes there is matchmaking which can be initiated in Social Zones as well as from the menu.

Yes there are still Green Zones / Social zones.

If you can answer a few questions, I'd appreciate it :

So what other game's control scheme and feel matches the division most closely?

What other game's loot system is similar?

Can you describe how you interact with the environment, is it purely visual exploration and searching for loot, or are there other ways to interact with the game space?

Ghost Recon mixed with Gears, but a lot smoother. Reminds me a lot of Splinter Cell Blacklist actually.

If Diablo and Destiny had a baby.

Can't answer this one, yet.

Thanks, just did it through Amazon and got it instantly, then cancelled both my BB and Amazon order.

If Diablo and Destiny had a baby. Let's just say the dev in charge of the loot system smiled when I brought up grinding for "perfect rolls".

Can't answer this one, yet.

Nice this has me incredibly hyped.

I was sold on the first reveal and am massively looking forward to the game so i don't need a lot of convincing but i wanted to jump in here after reading this and say

Good fuckin on you man. Mad respect. No bs no filter no soft speak... way to stand by friends and family and represent a product in positive and legit fashion.

You're good people. Keep up the good work.

How accurate is this game's map compared to actual New York?

Can't answer this directly yet, but I can say the dev team took over 10000 photos of New York to make it as true to life as possible. We had a player from New York metro area that saw where he worked for example.

Is it only Manhattan or all 5 boroughs?

I work in Manhattan, I'll try to find my location in the financial district.

I hope there are Ubi easter eggs...Like an Assassin's creed costume or something....pleasee :)

Also, if you can answer this: Will you have a personal connection with your custom character? Destiny tried to do it, but kinda failed at it.

Thanks man, appreciate it. I've been covering Clancy titles for the CharlieIntel team for almost six years now. Been all over the place already and there is so much more on the horizon that people don't even know about yet.

I first met Thom like 3.5 years ago or so? We've been eating dinner and chilling out all week here in Sweden It's pretty awesome.

I will absolutely let you guys know, when im allowed to. Just wait a bit longer. They are as excited as we are to let the flood gates open.

The game far exceeded my expectations on all levels. Im way more excited now than I ever was before.

I will echo everything he says. Complete 180 on my decision to get the game and it's a day 1 purchase for me.

I can tell you my name is already in the game. It's been in the game since E3. As for the others I can't really go into just yet.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by connection?

One thing of note id like to bring up and maybe you can shed insight if you can would be "push to talk" or any time of communication in the Dark Zone. I know this was brought up during the big reveal at E3 and the devs mentioned body language as a tool to see if a person is friendly or not. I hope the upcoming beta shows the need for some type of communication within the Dark Zone. In a perfect world I would actually prefer proximity chat, would add extra tension imo. Did the devs comment at all post E3 about this?
