Who knows with Kojima...! I mean was it explicitly stated that the partnership with Xbox was exclusive for this game? Maybe it will be multiplatform? I can't see it being that PT was the tease for Silent Hills exclusive on PS4 but now it is a exclusive cloud game on Xbox. Then again it has also been rumoured that there are two Silent Hill games in the works....

One theory I have is someone got the Silent Hill license and then offered it to Kojima. Sort of what Sony did with Spider-Man and Insomniac. It would definitely make the gamematsu rumor make more sense.

I'm wondering that Overdose is probably the other bigger game Kojima is working on which may or may not be PS exclusive or multi platform.
And I'm more and more wondering that when Reedus said they began work 'the second one" he probably meant the next project with Kojima as rumors say Overdose will have multiple returning cast members from Death Stranding.
Koji Pro is nowhere close to a 3 game studio right now.

Well he didn’t fall asleep after DS. He definitely was working on something and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t this cloud title or DS2 according to what’s being said. Then there’s gamematsu and Dusk Golem talking about a horror title which Overdose resembles.

So what’s the point in preparing a trailer for the event and not showing it? It’s not like they are going to hold onto it for a couple of years and then release it. They would definitely like to show something from the latest build.

I'm pretty certain at no point was the word exclusive used, which I'd strongly expect to happen if that was the case.
My view from the start was and is to ask what does Kojima want and why? My best guess is that he's interested in (1) having a centralized server-based system that can be reactive to user behaviours, and/or (2) Be able to reach the broadest audience possible without having to develop and coordinate across multiple platforms.
Exclusivity to *any* platform doesn't seem to fit that sort of intent.
Unless of course the key thing is portability, as in something that is intended to be playable from a phone or tablet as easily as from a PC or console. Which seems to me the only reason that he'd have approached Stadia.
My suspicion is that the draw for Kojima is some sort of web-based or portal application that can be deployed anywhere. And if that's the case then maybe this game isn't at all like what people might expect from mr Metal Gear, and why he's being so cagey about what the project is.
Maybe if its an expansion of the ARG-like reaction to P.T. ? Where he briefly had the entire internet trying to figure out its secrets.

Kojima himself said this project is gonna take a while for it to come out so I kinda doubt it's Overdose but who knows.

Kojima has had a lot of banter with Rahul Kohli, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Rahul stars in Overdose/Silent Hill, if not being the lead himself.

Overdose isn't the xbox game. It just got leaked and mixed up with the Microsoft partnership announcement. It's probably his next game that he's been working on for the last few years. What it is and who the publisher is, we don't know but its going to be revealed soon I think.

He was literally an outlier to the entire in the show so it already breaks that supposed "law". Just like he said it's going to be a while for his cloud game to come out he could have easily shown Overdose if it was said game and said "unlike other games in the show this isn't coming out in the next 12 months, you're going to have to wait a little longer for this but it'll be worth the wait blah blah blah..."
If you have a trailer ready to go you show it at your big showcase event, ESPCIALLY when you already literally drag the man that's making that game to your show to say he's making the game. It's beyond common sense.
