I think a Naruto "Kai" series would be good. No BS flashbacks, unnecessary mid fight flashbacks, and filler..The Dream.

I mean, One Piece isn't exactly a high bar in that regard. Most episodes look like ass just like Naruto. And Naruto has much higher highs.

One Piece may not have "good animation" (Water 7 has some great animation, same with this arc) the animation is consistently better then Naruto garbage animation 99% of the time. Naruto has some good animation every 30 or so episodes, but I'm sorry, that doesn't make up for the 99% which is just literal garbage.
Naruto also has the advantage of making everyone look like a poseable wooden dummy, which means everyone's body shape and head shape literally all look the same. Its terrible, it should not be defended.
All I've seen are excuses. This show has literally the 3 worst main characters to ever exist. I'd take Kirito over Naruto

Which is weird, because that's there even with the obviously higher budget episodes.
May be related to what was said earlier about the show looking washed out. I feel like Naruto has always somehow had an unusually high level of visual cohesion, so I'm wondering if there's a post-process that adjusts the visuals to be closer to a preset standard.
