The first Ranma 1/2 set I bought was pretty awesome, but the whole series is on Hulu. I feel conflicted when the sets retail for like $40 even though they are pretty awesome releases and appear to be limited.

Of course he did lol Blood Lad was pretty great hopefully it comes to Toonami

And wasn't blood lad always planned to be that long? It pretty much blew through all of the manga and stopped when they ran out of material to adapt

Edit: apparently there was a bit more they could have adapted, but they still blew through 80% of the monthly series in 10 episodes,
Compare that to attack on titan which covered about 60% in 25 episodes :X

Blood Lad had always been planned to be 10 episodes, seems the studio had no faith in it doing well but those 10 episodes are very well paced, animated, and entertaining. Was one of the best anime of the summer that no one watched and will sadly probably forever rot as an unfinished "go read the manga" series

And I did read the manga (ending felt a bit rushed).

I have to imagine the fact the anime came out the same time as the 2011 earthquake/tsunami and the story involved an earthquake.... too soon.

Probably a victim of the time, agree the manga ending felt rushed but at the same time I can't really say the ending wasn't appropriate

Basically Shard didn't like the series because the MC idolized Goku calling him the greatest hero of all time

If they have to grab Sailor Moon let it be Crystal, the new work. Hulu is a good enough place for the 200 episode 1990s anime.
