I was mostly joking about staying behaved but the Community forum in general has been a lingering topic in some moderator discussions. While several communities are totally fine, sometimes larger ones start to run into issues regarding a variety of TOS rules (sports threads come to mind). We're slowly talking about ways we can make the Community side of Neogaf better.
Additionally,
Some of the other mods seem to worry more about communities staying rigidly on topic. I think a little leeway is totally cool if people want to talk about what game they are playing or whatever. Or is Absolution wants to relay his near collision story to us without making a new thread for it, that's fine. Crossing the line is when community threads start daily saying good night to each other or relaying what they had for breakfast.

for the most part toonami gaf does a good job of staying on topic, and the amount of posts made sun-fri are minimal
i dont think you can remove personal discourse without removing an important aspect of what a community is
but if you take a look at certain community threads where a majority of the talk isnt on topic, (à la k-on) thats where lines need to be drawn

I think we stay on topic pretty well.
I mean, this thread is about a three and half hour animation block that is on once a week, and mainly shows shows that many people are watching for the second time.

Especially now with Shinichi's change, which better suits his voice now compared to the earlier episodes.
Though it still makes me wish a better company picked it up so we could've seen how someone like Funimation or Viz or a company with GOOD ADR Directors would've done it.
I still fear how they're gonna handle Shokugeki no Soma....

Most of Sentai's voice actors act about as well as porn stars so they should be fine for SnS. How hard is it to moan?

I feel bad for not only Food Wars but for Ushio and Tora as well whose characters really show a lot of emotion that most Sentai shows drop the ball on. I still want it to air on Toonami since I am enjoying it immensely but its popularity got swallowed up when Saitama came and One Punch'd it out of the discussion.

Imagine Erina in a Sentai dub. I doubt they could ever do her justice. Hell most of the female characters aside from Tadokoro are not in Sentai's typical wheelhouse. Tadokoro I can only hope she'd be 'OK'.

So, what did everyone have for breakfast today? I had a Peanut Butter protein bar because I was running late.
In more on topic news, we are so close to the Blu-ray release of the original FMA hitting 29.99. Amazon dropped it to 31.xx yesterday
Also, went to a new record store, and they had just a ton of anime DVDs in the dollar clearance area. I picked this up, which I think was an official release of the series plus OST for a dollar total. English subs only, but I guess I have a new rainy day thing to try

Also, looking back on it, the older Gundam series really did have some touching romantic moments.
Hence my reaction...
If anyone is on the fence the DVD's are great and marathon mode is everything you ever wanted.
