Finally catching up on the transit debate from last week (Metro Morning has some good interviews on the topic) and it seems just as bad as advertised. Ford didn't want to debate it, but when he did he wanted SUBWAYS SUBWAYS SUBWAYS again, which wasn't the topic which was on the agenda. They were suppose to find revenue for forms of transit (LRT) which had already been decided. But now a few of the councillors get to say 'See, I was for subways AND I was against taxes', even though they're basically contradictory points to take. Now we get to depend on the Province to make the decision for us, which always works well when it comes to transit, right?
I guess this is what we should expect now through next year. The 2014 municipal election campaign is in full swing for the majority of council.
