Total Weaksauce, runs right through!

I've been playing roller coaster tycoon 3 a lot and have so much fun with it. I designed some really cool coasters that are very popular with the "peeps". My recent one though gets no love. In the statistics it says it's intenseityis Ultra Extreme and the "peeps" say it's too intense for them. They are total weak sauces. The coaster doesn't have extreme drops, just a nice average 60 mph speed like Kumba from Busch Gardens (awesome....awesome roller coaster.)

On the other hand, the other new kids rollercoaster has an extremely long queue. This game needs more tweaks already...

By the way... Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is heaven for coaster lovers. Just needs to be patched up a bit. But nothing to keep you from enjoying the massive social life eating hours enjoying this.

Enjoy the "Mayan Beyond". Brave Caterpillar Adventure is not posted, gets too much love from the weaksauce "peeps" already.

I was pretty enthralled by the game until I found out that if I made my park any decent size, the game slows down like a bitch.

I think its mostly due to bugs and god is the bloom is way over down. The peeps are bugged up the ying yang. And scenarios 2, 3, 4 have bug problems that cause them to crash at certain points. Hasn't stopped me from enjoying the game so far.

It is great that they have a prop/structure designer to add more to the collection that came with the game, but I think the game really needed to come with more out of the box. Since it is published by EA most likely the game was rushed out. They already have an expansion pack for the game but they really need to work on fixing bugs and optimizing this game first. Then again EA. Hopefully they'll do something..

Oh man, the original RCT was the shit. Played the hell outta that game. Such a shame RCT2 was so underwhelming.

I really wish I still had a PC to play this game, it seems like a real sequel to the original.

What are your specs?

I love RCT, but I'm not sure if I should get 3, not just because of performance issues, but I really like simplicity in my sims. Sim City 4 had the major problem of having just too damned much going for it at once. I don't want to get frustrated.

Did anyone else do this in the first RCT, unlock Mega Park, build up enough money to flatten the entire land, and just build till it was full? I made it to about halfway before giving up, the place is so big that people say they're lost when they're really just really really really far from their rides. I think if I try to do it again I'll have to plan out and lay down just transportation rides all around the park and then start building the rides around them.

Tell me about it. I absolutely loved Sim City 3 with all its charm, music, art, etc... When I made the move to XP the clock in Sim City 3 stopped working. I was forced to buy the new one which I hated from the first issues of funding to the in game advertising of the Sims.

This is the first RC I've play and so far I absolutely love it. I haven't had any problems with anyone being lost and the micro management is really tame in my opinion. I still stand by my criticism earlier but at the same time I agree, this is an awesome game any roller coaster fan should buy right now.

By the way, I bought the sim city 4 a second time for 19.99 (Sim City 4 Deluxe) and its true that it's been tamed. Its not as frustratingly difficult and annoying as the first time. Not only did they tame it but they included more tutorials. Once doing the tutorials I realized it just played different but the nagging of the sims was out of hand and needed to be tweaked. They also made a few other tweaks here and there. Now I'm actually enjoying it. And the terrain generator on their website rocks. It uses satelite photos of the US so you can generate regions in Sim City 4 like landscapes of the US.

Though I liked the power options better in sim city. More to choose from and they weren't as hard to maintain. One thing though remains the same, certain options you want for your city can still be difficult to get without sending your budget into the red.

Is it really easier? Sweet, I really enjoyed playing Sim City 4 until the population got huge. When my hospital went on strike because of my underfunding, I thought it was the coolest thing ever :lol I may just pick it up now.

These tweaks, did they happen to reduce its memory-hoggedness? Cause that thing killed even the best setups when it came out.
