Agreed. It didn't blow me away or anything, but it was a solid hour of television, and was pretty much in line with what I thought the show would be like after the pilot.

Sepinwall's review along with The AV Club's giving it a D is pretty ridiculous.

I mean, yeah. I didn't think it was great, but I didn't think it was bad. Certainly emotionally manipulative, but whatever. You know what you're getting into. I'll be watching week in and week out unless it goes uber stupid, but this could be a nice distraction.

It's like watching one of those videos were Sarah McLaughlin plays her angels song and the abused puppies come on.

I really enjoyed the episode last night. If it stays at that level of quality I think I'll stick with the show. Very entertaining.

I look forward to seeing the main story arc develop, whatever that ends up being.

So what was up with the two Japanese girls in this episode? I don't remember them doing anything, but they were recapped at the end of the episode.

Were they the same ones from the pilot?

Anyways, I liked it, the moments with the kid asking his father was really well done.

Agreed. The reviews were really unjust. It was a good episode. Not ZOMGAMAZING but not a 'D' either. It's an enjoyable show and I will continue to watch.

Yep.

i liked the episode, just disliked that it turned out to be procedural show...

main reason 24 was good was that it had ongoing storyline... you felt like you were watching really long movie... same with heroes.

so at the end, good show, great disappointment?

How does giving the show a procedural element make it a disappointment, especially if you enjoyed the show? How does having a procedural element some how make the show not have an ongoing storyline? How was Heroes good?

Just saw the second episode. It was good. 1st one of better but this one was still solid. Though I can see the concept getting old quickly, they'll need to introduce something to keep us attached to the show.
What about those Japanese girls? What will their story be?

I'm a sucker for these types of random everyman helps put things right through some extraordinary circumstance shows, a la Quantum Leap, Early Edition, Journeyman, etc. Let's just hope that this show fairs better than the latter.

The last few minutes didn't get to record. Did anything happen with that girl who traveled to see the guy?

She was laughing at the different videos on the phone. Twitch from SYTYCD (the dancer guy, think his name name was Beastmaster on the show) comes over depressed that he lost to some kids. She tells him to cheer up. Talks about how the phone has been passed around the world. Some mild flirting ensues.

The characters in this episode didn't feel as "connected" as in the previous two, but all in all it was a good episode. The "Invisible Prince" was a little grating though and I'm starting to get pretty tired of Jake constantly vanishing. Hopefully they remedy that soon.

I was a little confused. How was the dance festival/happenings in South Africa connected to the Invisible Prince/Dragon storyline? Or were they just parallel stories? I was expecting some sort of connection or butterfly effect to happen but I don't remember one.

The Invisible Princes nephew was the next in line for the dance battle. Martin comes to the house and the father boots his son off the computer before he could compete. The slot reserved for the invisible princes nephew then goes to the kids in africa.

Ah, gotcha. I thought the kids in Africa were going to dance regardless, but I guess it was the last slot in the competition and they got bumped up? That makes more sense.

I assume the woman in the hospital who was supposed to be the social worker's mom was the same woman hit by the car at the beginning? Was it explained why she called the social worker?

Best episode yet. SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD.

Yeah, I liked it a lot. The ending with Jake screaming, Keifer running and the dancing, and the clanking of the silverware.

I love the music in the show and how every episodes begin. Even though we are only three episodes in, any scene with Jake and Keifer together, I am so anxious and hoping that he talks.

Have the last two episodes been any good? I haven't watched the series other than the pilot. I missed half of the second episode because of 30 Rock and I forgot about it this week.

Episode 3 was amazing. Loved it. Looks like there's a bigger picture than we thought, I hope they can explore that a bit more in the next episodes. How's it doing in terms of ratings?

Just watched episode 3. Loved it. Also loving the fact that, like RaGe_pt said, there seems to be an even bigger picture (instead of all of the events being self-contained).

I really liked episode 3, my favourite so far. Glad it's calming down a bit, 3 seemed less forced and hints at a bigger picture.

The Japanese girls having the phone back bugged me, and I don't see how they are going to explain it or will even try, but willing to suspend disbelief at the moment as it's very interesting and I like the characters in it.

I watched this show out of morbid curiosity. Ever since I first heard of the "Autistic Detective Show".

It's completely condescending to anyone who is autistic, knows an autistic, or has any sort of grasp on storytelling. Or at least, it should be. I've not seen such an offensive TV show in my lifetime.

Tim Kring is the Michael Bay of primetime.

But it's basically science fiction, not the Rainman Detective Mysteries ;)

It's where it goes with it that will be key, but it's interesting enough so far.

I am none of those. How is it offensive?

I don't even think you've watched the show. The show goes on about how the kid sees the beauty in the universe. How is that offensive?

Sick of AI going long. Think the ep started in apartment then the damn network cuts away to commercials...then Kiefer is picking up his son. Stupid FOX.
