Knew Sanchez would not win, hes part of Rabobank, u won't win anything when u are part of them.

Just what I thought.
For some reason they never have a real "fighting spirit", they always try to do everything tactical but never overcome any resistance or setback

Worst is, before the tour a bunch of them said they woudl bail out halfway if they could'nt play any role whatsoever.
They don't even have the guts to follow through on that, they just stay in the tour as bottom feeders finishing somwehere in the back.
Instead of just recovering out of competition and going for something like the Vuelta.

I really do like Voeckler a lot. Dude is nothing if not a fighter.

Really great to see him win, especially after the terrible first week he had.

Sorry I haven't been able to update the thread. Got home last night from France after my flight was delayed. Planche des Belles was just packed with people last Saturday. It was almost impossible to find a place on the ascent despite showing up at 10 am. Sat in the sun for 6 hours before the riders showed up. By then I was completed baked and ready for some action! Will try to post a few pictures when/if my brother sends them to me.

Today's stage is only 148 km long. Good thing they decided to throw in a few mountains along the route.

Fon't see the point in having HC mountains that far from the finish.
It provides more entertainment throughout the stage -> Better TV product. The Vuelta and the Giro are both slightly better stage races in my opinion, but ASO have just been excellent at selling their product. One of their "tricks" is to use these legendary climbs earlier on to give both the TV viewers and the spectators on the course more action.

Anyone have a good source for Tour photos? I'm wanting a nice high def shot from the helicopter as they went up the Grand Colombier, you know which scenic switchback I'm talking about.

Thinking it would make a killer desktop. Makes me wish I had anything of the sort in my area to try and climb :p

Did you check Cyclingfans? They usually post hd pictures although only a handful from each stage.
Damn, I should have taken a day off today with that track. At what hour do they start?

(7:05am U.S. Eastern)

Finish at around 5:33pm CET

Fabian Cancellara is leaving the Tour de France to head home for the birth of his third child.

Watching the stage this morning on my iPad. Going to be a great day. Unfortunately I have a meeting scheduled for right about the end of the day, so I"ll have to watch the replay tonight to get back up to speed.

Evans had to get aggressive to see if he can take any time out of Wiggins.

Lol. Don't hope finding a good spot on a mountain (especially the final climb of the stage) unless you bring a tent and stay during the night before. Think it's even worse for the Alpes and the Pyrénées :P

Not missing today's stage, the racers will pass by the location when I'll spend my oncoming holidays :D

Mollema abandons. 3 riders already left today.

Was my first mountain stage so had no idea when to show up. We were basically standing at the foot of the mountain.

Rémy di Gregorio will be charged with... illegal injection of glucose. Police raids and scandal headlines and he's been caught using sugar.

Hopefully the two sugar distributors they arrested will face long prison sentences for encouraging hi-carb drugs. (ehy eould anyone inject sugars, to boost recovery?)

Dallest said other products found in phials were being analyzed by the French gendarmerie

after glucose and ozone, i'm fully expecting these "other products" to be marmite and unicorn tears

60km to go, almost all competition is out, Evans can't press any real advantage, and Wiggins still hasn't used Porte or Froome. Jesus.

Evans is a fantastic descender. I could see him gain time on Wiggins there. Doesn't look like he has the legs though.

Was thinking the same thing. Maybe he has Tejay help him over the top and then goes balls to the walls on the descent. Either way, he had to do something.

can only listen on radio.. what did I mis..?

Bunch of idiots running along the riders on the extremely narrow uphill. Kept looking at the camera and then crashed into someone else and toppled himself. Didn't affect the riders tho.

It was as awesome.

The Sky team is just ridiculous right now, it's really too bad that Andy Schleck got injured. Nice to see a Swede finally making some noise though in the Tour, although it's a bit disappointing that they didn't notice that he beat Rolland to the top :/.

Kessiakoff relegated to 2nd place in the race to the Col de la Croix de Fer for using his elbow against Rolland. Rolland wins...
