TRUMP 2016: "The Winston Churchill of Our Time"

All of Trump's statements so far sound like they're coming from one of those aggressive Maury bits before they bring the person out.

So China's stock market is melting, the mid-East is a big Sunni/Shiia war, Israel/Palestine is the same usual shitfest, Greece is bankrupt, Puerto Rico is bankrupt, Putin & Russia have small man complex and are beating up Ukraine, Venezuela is close to bankrupt, Syria is part run by a dictator and part run by ISIS religious nuts, Iraq is part run by an Iran proxy and part run by ISIS religious nuts . . . . . what does this tell you? It tells you that we need the Trump.

These press releases make me wish there existed an alternate reality estimation computer that allowed us to see what a Trump presidency would be like. I can almost see Trump being the first President who also is the most powerful press secretary.

Either this guy has the economic sense of a 12 year old, or he thinks his audience does.

Nonrefundable deposits for events that were already planned are a one time thing, congrats on making a bit of money by renting them out twice, but if ESPN and NASCAR never want to associate with you or your properties again, that won't be quite so great for your bank account in the long term...

I can't wait for the debates because at this rate I'm pretty sure that Trump will advocate for the mass execution of the lower class and the annexation and depopulating of Mexico and Central America.

Vince McMahon for president?

Trump/McMahon 2016 tho.

This smells like the beginning of an extremely entertaining Democracy 3 Let's Play.

I can't wait for President Trump to steer this ship back toward greatness!
One word that springs to mind when I’m thinking about Donald Trump is Titanic. But not in terms of the successful movie, in terms of the unsuccessful boat.

But he got to keep everyone's reservation fees for the second cruise AND didn't have to boat them anywhere.

Even if Trumps Titanic had enough life boats, he would still insist on having the 3rd class passengers go down with the ship so first class has more leg room in the life boats.

But that relies on the assumption that they will never associate with Trump again out of moral principle. But the fact is, Trump's been sayin' this kind of thing for years and it's only getting headlines now because of his Presidential run. It's a knee-jerk reaction over political correctness. A few years down the road, if Trump's rants aren't front page news? Back to normal, I'm sure.

There would also be more undocumented immigrant workers, but he would build a YOOOOOOGE wall between them and the guests to stop all the raping.

PPP's newest North Carolina poll finds that Donald Trump's momentum just keeps on building. He's the top choice of Republican primary voters in the state, getting 16% to 12% for Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, 11% for Mike Huckabee, 9% for Ben Carson and Marco Rubio, 7% for Rand Paul, 6% for Ted Cruz, 5% for Chris Christie, 4% for Carly Fiorina, 2% for Rick Perry, 1% each for Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, and Rick Santorum, and less than 1% each for John Kasich and George Pataki.

Trump's favorability rating in North Carolina is 55/32, much higher than we were finding in national polls prior to his entry into the race. Trump's really caught fire with voters on the far right- 66% of 'very conservative' voters see him favorably to only 24% with a negative view of him. Trump is polling particularly well with younger voters (29%) and men (20%).

when Tur asked whether he owns a gun, the following exchange ensued:

TRUMP: I have the license to have a gun, yes, I do.
TUR: Do you own one?
TRUMP: Yes, I do.
TUR: Do you use it? Gun range?
TRUMP: That’s none of your business. It’s really none of your business. I have a license to have a gun.
TUR: Gun control?
TRUMP: What are you talking about?
TUR: Or stronger background checks?
TRUMP: Yes, I have a gun and, yes, I have a permit to have a gun.
TUR: Stronger background checks? What about that? Is there any steps that you would take to make it harder to get a gun in this country?
TRUMP: Once you get into that, you start getting into a situation, the slippery slope where all of a sudden you’re going to really violate the Second Amendment. I don’t want to do anything to violate the Second Amendment. To me, the Second Amendment is very important.
And then came Trump’s time to bash all his famous conservative critics.

On Charles Krauthammer, who called him a “rodeo clown”: He’s “a totally overrated person that dislikes me personally. I’ve never met him. He’s a totally overrated guy, doesn’t know what he’s doing.”

On Jonah Goldberg, who compared him to a “failed man”: “I’m worth a fortune. You know, it’s interesting. I went to the best school, got great marks, everything else. I went out, I made a fortune, a big fortune, a tremendous fortune… bigger than people even understand. […] Then I get called by a guy that can’t buy a pair of pants, I get called names?” [Ed. note: Huh? Does anyone know why Trump would think Goldberg can’t buy pants? Send tips to tips@mediaite.com]

“By the way,” Trump smirked at Tur, “are you going to mention the ones that do like Trump? No, you don’t do that.”

Donald Trump, who became the center of attention in the race for the 2016 Republican U.S. presidential nomination with his denunciation of illegal immigrants from Mexico, has vaulted into a virtual dead heat with Jeb Bush atop the field, a Reuters-Ipsos poll released on Saturday showed.

Trump, a billionaire real estate developer, had the support of 15.8 percent of respondents in the online poll of self-identified Republicans compared to 16.1 percent for Bush, a former Florida governor.

They were followed by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie at 9.5 percent, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul at 8.1 percent, surgeon and author Ben Carson at 7.2 percent and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at 5.8 percent.

However, given a choice of three candidates - Bush, Trump or Florida Senator Marco Rubio - Bush had a comfortable lead at 42 percent among the respondents in the Reuters-Ipsos Republican poll, compared to 28.4 percent for Trump and 20 percent for Rubio.

Right around then a few pro-immigrant activists hidden in the crowd outed themselves and unfurled a banner: “Stop the hate.”

The defiance lasted just a few seconds before Trump supporters swarmed around them pulling, grabbing and shoving. Security guards intervened and frogmarched the intruders away amid jeers and insults.

Trump’s voice boomed over the commotion. “I wonder if the Mexican government sent them over here. I think so.” The jeers intensified. “Don’t worry,” he reassured the crowd, “we’ll take our country back.” Chants of USA erupted.

Trump said he loved Mexico’s people but decried their leaders as cunning manipulators of an “out of control” border. He promised to fine Mexico $100,000 for every person who illegally entered the US. “This has become a movement. This has become a movement because people don’t know what’s happening. We can’t be great if we don’t have a border.”

lmfao.

This is even more ridiculous than charging them for the wall.

That's why he's doing so well in the polls right now. He's playing to the racist-prick Republican subgroup and they're responding well to his racist bullshit.

That doesn't mean I'm any way he's electable. He'll crash and burn, and with any luck he'll lose a lot of business in the long term.

I'm doubtful luck is necessary anymore. Trump's businesses will increasingly feel negative long term effects the stronger his primary candidacy becomes. If he wins the nomination but loses the presidency then the impact will be maximized.

Trump has to be a Dem plant

Trump is:

Im just waiting for him to say "Nanomachines, son!"

Confused crowd at the next rally as he verbally stomps them: "What the hell are you talking about?"

Though I'd argue that Senator Armstrong is actually far more principled (despite what Raiden says) than Trump will ever be.

I'm starting to get afraid he actually has a shot at winning. All of the Republican voters I know have been talking about him and it sounds like he's getting their votes.

The greater the number of "serious" Republican candidates remain in the race to split up the votes among the less batshit-crazy constituents, the greater the chance Trump has at succeeding.

I feel like a Trump nom in the generals would invigorate democrats and undecideds to vote. Maybe.
Oh god, please don't give us President Trump

No. There's no fucking way. With how he alienates the Hispanic vote he just further would cement Hillary's victory if, somehow in some strange way, he actually secured the nomination.

Maybe if we're living in a truly bizarre universe and the race is Trump vs Bernie then he has a shot

Wouldn't a Trump nomination actually be good? If it's Hillary vs. Trump, would he REALLY have a chance of winning the nation as a whole?

Hillary would destroy him. It wouldn't even be close.

It will do a lot to set back our public discourse. But I mean... Republicans have already done that.

I want that so bad to see the thrashing and the potential downballot effects. Would definitely get the senate and some progres sin the house.
