"Sessions had been working to come up with reasons."jesus
Probably a smart move politically.
In a nutshell: Trump can afford the beating the media will give him in the short-term. Our news cycle is such shit that you could bank on this being a non-story in a couple of weeks.
What Trump CANT afford is an ongoing investigation where, potentially, someone connected to trump is actually prosecuted. With this move, the investigation is essentially nipped. He knows the only other real dangers are the Senate investigation (lol) or the House investigation (bigger lol), or an investigation by the DOJ which is helmed by our buddy Sessions (biggest lol).
I personally think this is a calculated, smart move.
wait... he fired Comey over the Clinton emails because Comey didn't lock her up? Or is he trying to come off as compassionate to Dems and say he shouldn't have meddled in the election? I assume the former...
Is he a democrat
Because what they say doesnt matter unless its republicans turning.
The response I've heard from actual Watergate reporters is basically "you really have no idea where this goes until it happens."
I suspect Trump's downfall, if it ever happens, will be gradual. And then sudden. And we won't see it coming.
This is not going to work out for Trump.
what the fuck? why are they using the word resign?
(Cleaning his monitor)
The fox website says fired.
I need a hug before I break something.

The only thing he did was guarantee an independent investigator...shit will keep leaking...its only time because he wouldn't have done this if shit wasn't on the up and up.Probably a smart move politically.

Oh lol sorryI was agreeing with you.
But with the overreacting and stupidity around Trump, I can see how my sarcasm could be missed.
This is not smart. This fans fire.
People really do need to stop bringing up democratic senators reactions to stuff like this because it's meaningless when they don't control either houseCasey is a Democrat, yes.
Probably a smart move politically.

And he gets to choose the person to investigate him, right?
America, you're weird.
Nothing.
It's over. He's gonna get away with it, since Republicans won't do anything.
We're all being gaslighted here,That image might be made up. Just checked Fox News says Comey has been fired.
This is LITERALLY Watergate 2.0.
This is not smart. This fans fire.
I don't see how anything is guaranteed right now.The only thing he did was guarantee an independent investigator...shit will keep leaking...its only time because he wouldn't have done this if shit wasn't on the up and up.
This literally ends the investigation in the FBI once the new director is installed.
Not sure if this will be a positive or negative overall but it's definitely a noteworthy termination.
Just gleefully misinforming the public. The country is so fucked.
