In related news oceans are warming even faster than previously predicted. Even Obama wasn't doing anywhere near enough about climate change and now the US goverment is going to basically working to accelarate it even more.

Because your post on the other hand had so much substance, it could barely contain it. The point is, it's not a shit post, and while there is certainly some things to add, I do think this is hardly a shocking move from the Trump admin as well.
One of the theories as to why crime has gone down so much over the past two decades is that we removed lead from the air, thus reducing brain damage caused by it in poorer areas near freeways and major traffic thoroughfares.
So let's get all that lead back in the air, crime will go up drastically, and we can then justify murdering and incarcerating even more poor brown people!
I'd like to think my generation (30 somethings) are a bit more accepting of the idea of man-made climate change, so I'm optimistic that when the old fellas die off and we take their place, there will be more action taken on this.

How fundamentally stupid must you be to want to roll back regulations against lead contamination. What an absolute unmitigated shithole this administration is.
Found the article on this:
Under the proposal, which was sent to the EPA this week, grants to states for lead cleanup would be cut 30 percent to $9.8 million, according to the source, who read the document to Reuters.
Grants to help Native American tribes combat pollution would be cut 30 percent to $45.8 million.
Hrm. 20 years from now... Severe droughts in the midwest, constantly flooded coasts, ocean too hot for fish as well. Possible shutdown of major currents from melted artic fresh water.
