Same. But the writing is on the wall - we've gone from "either digital or with drive" (original) at the beginning of this gen to "all digital, but with a bundle package that includes the drive pre-installed" (slim) to probably now "all digital, buy the drive separately" for this.

If it's $600 for the digital then they should have the disc version at $650. It's going to be hard for physical owners to upgrade if they have to pay almost $700.
This is where I've been for years. People easily buy PRO phones every year at 1300$.
Prices now are $450 digital and $500 disc USD.

One would think that face is the result of many sleepless nights while locked away in a Playstation laboratory. Leading to the culmination of yet another intricately superior designed system by this genius of a man. Only then to have him do the livestream and present his creation to all of us commoners.
The only way this isn't an inevitability is if the majority of their customers agree with you and vote with their wallets. Unfortunately, I feel like this is going to be the Apple headphone jack argument all over again, and by the time the next generation rolls around this will be the norm.
If I remember with the PS4 Pro announcement it was like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Mass Effect: Andromeda.... and the latter released in March 2017.
This is not the point, physical games are always gonna cost less and you can sell them, there is no advantage in going all digital except having the game at 00:00 and play immediately.
This is where we differ. I'm not getting out of my wheelchair to swap a disc. Last time I did the rug took forever to clean up from Doritos and pretzel dust. Not to mention Mountain Dew stains are impossible to get out!

In Canada, full budget games are $90 already. At currency exchange rates with the US, games here should be $95, but I guess stores give gamers a break rounding down to $90.

I meant that they are going to try to push prices in general. Doesn't matter whether physical or digital versions.
It would be hilarious as hell if "Detachable Disc-Drive" would be part of the official name.
Stop buying new games altogether. Buy it for 20, after a year of patches, on a sale.
