I don't trust Sony slides tomorrow. same goes for AMD and Nvidia. they all try to present the image in thebeost possible way. usually its when its still shots.

the only way to know for real if it works properly or not is to see something from digital foundry and whats the like.

however, we can get an idea of its actually using hardware level upscaling or not software only like the FSR. if its hardware level, its close to Nvidia more than AMD.

You should watch "The Road to PS5", it's straight tech talk.

Digital Foundry aren't good at tech analysis, don't rely on them for anything meaningful.

I think Rebirth shouldn't be too difficult, as the 60fps mode was already smooth (as was the 30fps) it was just the IQ/resolution that they couldn't improve and it was like 1080p-1440p using FSR1. But PSSR can resolve that as can the extra power and take it to something closer to 4k.
