Based purely on a ComicCon interview, I think James may have something to do with bringing Cooper back. I only say this since none of the actors know anything outside of the scenes they were involved in and what's aired so far, and in one interview with all the ComicCon cast who were present at the event (all of them who were at the panel) they asked the question about Dougie returning to Cooper, and immediately as soon as the question was asked the actors for Cooper, James, Big Ed, and Bobby immediately had a, "Oh, I know the answer to this but I can't say" visceral response (unsaid but a definite reaction to hearing the question) while the other actors present didn't have that sort of reaction. It could've been for some other reason but they only responded to this particular question in that way, and though they didn't say anything their flash reaction to the question could be telling, but even if not I found that an interesting selection of actors to have a reaction to that question.

Yeah very lucky considering a few of the returning actors/actresses are no longer with us. Unless they shift the focus to the newer characters and slim down the cast of returning ones, I can't imagine another season happening. And I don't know if I would want a season 4 without Albert :(

Yup, there are several that didn't even male the air date.

For me the biggest question is David Bowie and his character. Phillip Jeffries is at the center at so many things going on in this new season, it is possible Bowie could've had time to film but the window is small.

I would think all the old actors will interact with Cooper at some point. And they probably will all help giving him a piece of himself back.

Or maybe Cooper just sticks his finger on an electrical socket and his shoes magically appear on his feet returning him to his old self.

Finally caught up last night after watching 9-11 back to back. Am hyped for "Let's Rock." Easily one of my favorite tag lines of the entire show for a good reason. It's gonna be a crazy ride, this next one. I can feel it.

I thought it was something to do with the fact that he entered the lodge with imperfect courage (running away from the doppleganger).

He ran from his doppelganger instead of facing him down, and then the stars didn't align for the lodge to open again for 25 years.
Has that been mentioned at all in the new season? I guess that's what that "stars align and a time presents itself" scene with Hawk that went nowhere was about? Just seems like there's more to it, "I'll see you in 25 years - because the door's locked now you dumbass" sells it short.

I forget the particulars, but there was talk about stars or planets needing to be in a certain alignment for the lodge to open back in S2. Not sure if that was Hawk or Earle who said it.

What if Linda was a kid that Annie had after Cooper slept with her, and Richard is Audrey/Doppelcoop

That's a pretty solid theory considering we know almost for sure that Richard is DoppelCoop's kid. Well, we don't know it, but it almost has to be at this point.

Mullins is great but my favorite Lucky 7 employee is Phil.

Just the way he stands—Josh Fadem is a fantastic physical comedian and Twin Peaks gives him the chance to show that a lot more than Better Call Saul.

He was hilarious as Liz's agent on 30 Rock.

Maybe we'll get a whole Bookhouse Boys episode.

I could live with that. BTW, I'm not sure it was ever mentioned here although it seems pretty obvious in retrospect, but people flat out asked Mark Frost if Carl Rodd was a former Bookhouse Boy and Frost confirmed he was an original.

Just told Chrysta Bell "Fuck you Tammy." She asked for my name, shook me by the hard asked me for my name and she told me "Fuck you Ryan." Awesome day so far.

Interview with Chrysta Bell about Tammy

How did you shape Tammy’s mannerisms and appearance? Were you ever concerned that she would be fetishized?
I’m not exactly sure what I can share, but what I can say is that I feel it was a very organic process. There were no actual conversations. I’ve known David for a long time now, and he knew what he was getting with me. There was no assertion of “be this” or “be that.” It was just, “Be Tammy.” David knows Chrysta Bell and knows I’ve never acted before. He’s seen many live shows of mine and we’ve been in recording studios together over the course of many years, so you’re combining all of these elements. There’s no forced thing of who Tammy would be like or how she would be received. Some of the stuff I had read was that Tammy seems contrived or she seems overtly feminine. Like, she’s trying to be a woman or trying to do what a woman would do. I find those to be the most fascinating things, because that stuff never crossed my mind. There was never a moment when I was trying to be feminine or trying to make Tammy be this or be that. It never occurred to me that she was looking this way. But I think this is part of when you’re inside yourself, and doing what you’re doing. You’re just being who you are. Tammy came across in a certain way and I feel like that was Tammy’s destiny. [Laughs.] I didn’t make Tammy that way, that’s just how Tammy happened. Whether that’s ridiculous or genius or just a matter of me having no experience, it’s just what it is.

If this has some kind of post-humous David Bowie thing going on, that would be insane.

I think people should give up hope for Bowie. It seems clear Lynch and Frost were caught off guard by his death (as he'd already signed on to reprise Jeffries) and had to rely on last minute work-arounds.

They shot the whole thing before he died though.

Anyway, I'm glad he got Duchovny on board, but I'm surprised Kiefer and Isaac didn't come back, that being said... "let's rock" is coming.

So I couldn't stop laughing at the scene with the lady screaming in the car. Re watched 4 times and still can't take it.

Am I the only one?

My unending fury at inconsiderate drivers and people that use their horn indiscriminately overrides laughter and horror during that scene. Bobby was an absolute saint; I would've just picked up the car and hurled them off the road.

Thank you again.

EDIT: What I utterly adore about this season is it feels like a culmination of Lynch's prior work, composed of fragments of ideas and concepts exhibited throughout his career. There's stuff in here that is among his best.

This last episode pulled things together for me. Where Inland Empire feels like fragments of a dream/nightmare, this season feels like fragments of a life lived and memories. There are just these amazing David Lynch Norman Rockwell moments happening throughout the season, like Dougie and the Casino guys sitting down and eating pie.

Some of my strongest memories are from a club or theater seeing some sort of band, the music interludes just bring me to a nice fond place.

I was actually getting really pissed off throughout the scene and as she first started tearing into Bobby because of how unbelievably obnoxious and selfish she was being, but it quickly turned to hilarity as her rant picked up and the scene got more and more absurd.

I was really sympathizing with the sensory overload Bobby was going through.

At one point I actually yelled at her to shut the fuck up, as if I were stuck in traffic myself.

He died like literally a couple of months after production ended. He could've thought at that point that he was going to spend his final days with his family. Or he could've recorded like when Catherine Coulson and Miguel Ferrera did even when battling cancer, badass people all around.

One very curious thing though: All actors that have been named even in name only have had an episode dedicated to them, specially in the first two episodes. David Bowie hasn't had a dedication so far, so who knows, we could be in for a surprise.

We still don't know about Isaac as well! Some of the cast list wasn't included in that huge 200 name list.

Bowie was also incredibly busy with Blackstar and his musical. I'm not expecting anything since I figure he would have wanted to put most of his remaining energy into those two projects. I would love to be wrong though. I think I'd probably start crying if he did show up.

I think he was done with Blackstar at that point in time. Blackstar was recorded quite a while before his death and at some point after finishing it, he thought he was going to survive cancer. It was not meant to unfortunately :(

I think I am like 3 episodes behind on the show. I had to evacuate my home in British Columbia due to some nasty forest fires for the last two and a half weeks (no worries about my place burning down.the smoke was so bad that I had to leave), and I fell behind. Will have to catch up when thing go back to normal for me.
