So are the effects bad because of the budget or because Lynch wanted it to look "off." The endless debate begins now

Yeah I guess you're right. I was confused when Mike's Arm tree started chanting BOB.
James is cool. He's always been cool. <- official Twin Peaks loreJames must have gone to the California chapter of the Black Lodge and been possessed by someone much cooler than himself if Shelly is to be believed.
I see they're retconning already.James is cool. He's always been cool. <- official Twin Peaks lore
Not surprised. I imagine this will be polarizing. Knowing this is a Lynch production made the slow pacing acceptable. If I wasn't already a fan of his work, I could see getting bored and antsy.
About halfway into episode 3 and this is a lot to process
I will also say this: In many ways this feels more like Lynch: The Lynch than Twin Peaks, like the tone is quite different from Twin Peaks so far. There's still Twin Peaks in there, certainly. It poked its head out several times. And it continues the story and lore. But the way it's executed makes this in many ways feel less like a direct Twin Peaks Season 3 and it feels more like a sequel to every work Lynch has produced. It's very hard to describe, but I hope what I'm saying makes sense.
Yeah, I'm already convinced that the world of Twin Peaks co-exists with at least the world of Eraserhead too. That thing in the box in Episode 1 looked like a grownup version of the alien baby from that film.
I hope what I'm saying makes sense.

Nightmare fuel. This is a lot like eraserhead 3.0 ...
Ep 3:Andy, Hawk, and Lucy bringing the funnies.
I'm following the NeoGAF comments on the second rewatch and nobody made a single comment from :32 to :34 as the girl was taking off her clothes and stuff in the sex scene lol.
