Twitch Plays Pokemon Fire Red Randomizer: Return to the Land of Ghost Lorelei

About the last comic... is a part of ZetsuTheFirst's Bill series...

Ithink we should put this in the OP.

Maybe...
Oh hey STALINKING IS WITH US
We now have a pokemon with a higher base stat total than Battery Jesus by 90 points
Oh, and does this run feel really short to anyone else? No ridiculous and unique obstacles as bad as anything in Red, and we have an amazing team cleaning up. Might just be because the lowered activity

This is honestly my least favorite run so far. Partially due to democracy abuse, a good team, the randomizer nerfing everything else, and fire red's map layout being less unforgiving, we've had a really easy trip through Kanto. There have been almost no big events to look back on, maybe the only things that might count are Rock Tunnel and getting Mew, but nothing else.
I've never realized it up until now, but TPP without any drama is rather boring. Surprisingly, the art has been pretty fantastic, but without any struggles in the game the stream itself becomes kind of dull. With the new addition of Slaking even the E4 should be a cakewalk; we'll probably beat them in under 24 hours.

Platinum is my least favorite gen, but hopefully it'll be more entertaining than this since it will at least bring the challenge back up to Emerald levels, so long as we don't get democracy until late game like Emerald. Even I'm not crazy enough to think we can beat Cynthia without a decent team.

YEah, same here
Makes me sad, I want to stay with TPP and still will hopefully

Oh, and someone in chat suggested Blainer could have any of Omastar, Kabutops, and Aerodactyl. In fact, that team would be perfect for him

Swablu/Altaria finally got lore

The fight against Blaine was hilarious.

He had Aron and Lairon, to screw over our normal type only attackers, and then a Golem which did nothing but spam wish for like 10 turns, and then his ace was a Shuckle and we nearly died cause Blastoise kept using cut.

Oh whatthefuckever. You know what? The underdog story is over and done. And that's fine. We did it already. Few though we could even finish Red by the very nature of TPP, but we proved them wrong. And ever since then our eventual victory has been a given due to a combination of persistence, luck and the extremely forgiving nature of Pokemon. What else is there to accomplish?

I'll fucking tell you what! It's time to KICK ASS! To actually excel at the game rather than simply bashing our collective heads against the wall until the RNG smiles down on us and we sneak by with a lucky win and all pat our selves on the back for it. Instead of insisting that the only satisfaction of victory comes from the struggle of our self-flogging, we should find satisfaction in excellence! Yes, create an all-star team. Let Slaking lead our SEEL Team Six to demolish the Elite 4 that gave us such a hard time when we were first young and weak and had to cling to a lucky run with Zapdos to even dream of victory. Don't sit there wishing for the underdog story of Act I when we're fist deep in Act III, where the hero returns not as a child, but as a man.

Now is the time Twitch PLAYS Pokemon

So Moltres was a Latios. We brought 16 balls trying to catch it, but threw them all at trainers and pokemon on the way there, and just killed it instead.

On the bright side, we got Rollout for Mew, and I learned that the Hoenn battle music is in Fire Red for some reason and activates when you fight a Hoenn legendary.

Victory soon? Can we do it within 24 hrs?
Guess it depends on the randomizer how tough the E4 will be.
Yeah I wanted them to try for fake Zapdos, but I guess that can wait for post game, which I really hope they do with this team. I think beating the game within 24 hours is very possible if our next goal is victory road.
Edit: it's called shellock holmes because he used to have odor sleuth in the first slot, making him always use it at poor times.

Maaaaaaaaan, that fight against Green was close. Slaking got a freeze on Aggron with Tri Attack, but Aggron immediately thawed out. If he had been frozen for just one full turn, we would have won.

And Sandsplash is a goddamn tank. Took three SE Octozooka hits from Kingdra and still managed to kill it.

Yeah flameslash is amazing even with a gimped move set.

Not only did Shellock wreck Latios, he absolutely destroyed Giovanni's gym almost single handedly. Our team is just crazy good.

I think it was less because Shellock is amazing and more because Giovanni's team was a joke. All unevolved and stuck at low levels because of Fire Red's broken level curve near the end.

Green was the real gym leader! No wonder he gets promoted in GSC. :P

He still took out half of Green's team despite being hurt from the gym.

The TTS has some sort of memory leak which crashes itself and the web browser that the team display is shown on.

Green still hasn't evolved his Beldum? Shame it didn't still have take down when it survived with a pixel of health.

Blastoise is the only one on our team that can deliver even neutral damage to Steel types (aside from Mew's ember), but Green's Kingdra is one hell of a pivot. It tanks Blastoise's hit extremely well.

Can Mew learn surf? It's not all that strong yet, but it would help his moveset and give another surf user.

Plus Blastoise has Bubble and Cut to waste attacks with. So that's kind of bad.
