Jesus there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
He's so web1.
Jesus there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
Musk, from the quality of his own posts, appears to want a cesspool on Twitter and people are trying to claw their way out like avoiding a zombie plague but there's nowhere to go. If people continue to feel threatened the desire to flee won't stop, but it will get worse. It's disheartening, idealistically, to see an opportunity like this appearing go by unexploited in a capitalist society.
Maybe by now there's something being developed as there's a better idea of the situation and needs. If so, it would be encouraging to see some guerrilla marketing, maybe on Twitter. I like the thought of it having a name that advances the common Western civil ideals upon which a town square has a future and civilization progresses. Directed towards securely giving the most freedom to talk/listen on the platform to the most people as possible in striving towards a harmony of common virtues and ethics in civil communication.
With the possibility of Twitter still going down/under, a possible attractive feature to help with migration for a new service is one that archives the old tweets of migrating 1.0 Blue Checks and links them to their new account.
Amazed he's still around. His site was funny long time ago. Then he got super thin like he had cancer and at the same time lost his touch. HIs content turned terribly boring and his transition to videos of him gabbing was even worse.Jesus there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
30km from Berlin’s city centre - that’s still Berlin. Like 30km from Sydney’s city centre is still Sydney. He did not - he opened it in Grünheide an independent municipal around 30km outside of Berlin.
But of course "Gigafactory Berlin" sounds way better in marketing

Yeps, never been to Europe. So the cities are quite small?Tell us you've never been in Europe without etc...
People maybe see those as worse than twitter and not conductive to their business/joy.If twitter and big tech ran as they should, you wouldn’t have alternatives like gab, gettr, rumble or odysee. Nothing stopping people from using those either, but they won’t, because that would involve seeing things they don’t like. All those complaining are just addicted to the upticks they got in their echo chambers.
And not sure what utopian schtick you’re going on about, but “western ideals” have been crabs in a bucket the last seven years. At least
Agreed, and he’s mostly a relic of the past now. Nobody wants to read long-form satire and observational comedic rants these days. “Weird Twitter” accounts like dril have taken his niche.Amazed he's still around. His site was funny long time ago. It was way funnier when he stayed off camera just doing clever text and MS Paint kinds of posts.

Edit: Apparently its 30,000km2.
This is the best description of Europe I've ever read. When you travel 15km you might end up in another country or province, and the people talk in weird dialects.
Oh man, if you missed out on his podcast drama over getting cucked by his cohost and the subsequent lawsuit he filed for people making fun of him online…it was quite the ride.Jesus there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
Employees aren't just running on treadmills keeping the power on at Twitter. When you cut too deep you usually know when something fails and you can't get it to come back healthy because you lack some combination of access, experience, and documentation. Something hasn't failed yet but give it time. Now that it looks like Twitter is functioning just fine despite losing the majority of its employees, I wonder if other tech companies will eventually follow suit in trimming their bloated workforce (by ‘bloated’ I’m mostly talking about stuff like HR, consulting, product management etc; the kind of ‘soft’ stuff that has nothing to do with coding or engineering). Facebook/Meta in particular looks like it could lose a lot of its fat too.
Yes, no more catty gossip breaks every five minutes.Cause women?
No. Mentally ill? Yes.WTF is the hive? Some sort of left wing startup twitter?

Twitter was run by literal REE moderators.
The idea that society must be "protected" against bad-takes as a matter of existential importance seems to have a strangle-hold on people's thinking, despite the fact that it is patently untrue.
What's worse is that a lot of people seem willing to burn all essential freedoms and civil liberties on the altar of this fallacy!
It seems to be run by two Era mods. What does that tell you.I dont know anything about Hive, but they are against bigotry and hate. Sounds logical. I wonder if that applies to anti-White and anti-straight people too.

Daily reminder that these hollow virtue advertisers still advertise and sell their products in nations rife with bigotry, hate, literal death sentences for lifestyles, run slave labor sweat shops, etc., etc., as they lecture everyone in the polished diamonds of the first world.Try again. The article you posted only cover the immediate reaction to his take over. The advertisers pulling out are a more recent occurence.

Always enjoy looking at the corporate Twitter accounts of big companies during Pride month. That important representation isn’t so important among their accounts in Islamic countries.Oh, you know.

Fucking, yawn.

Marketing works. And hollow users who complain about one thing, but likely love expensive Teslas from Musk.
As for Pride month, it's not even important to non-Islamic countries. Companies that market to the Pride crowd care about it for one month a year. June. The marketing assistant and ecom teams have the task of uploading the rainbow logo on LinkedIn and their corporate website on June 1 and reupload the old logo on July 1. I havent heard any communications from the marketing team about sexuality since the summer. And I wont until they send out the memo in 2023 leading up to June promotions.
When TD Bank is one the key sponsors of Pride Parade in downtown Toronto, don't forget to sign up for a bank account or credit card at on the booths while youre there. You'll probably get a free rainbow tshirt from the booth rep too.
How have any changes at Twitter resulted in a cesspool? Musk is posting the same sort of things he always has. We've heard that hateful content will get buried by the algorithm, so people won't run across it naturally. Musk stated very early on that Kanye's account was restored before he took control of the company.Im thinking Elon just wanted someone who he could relate to. So he reinstated the account of another billionaire who lost a ton of money by means of poor financial decisions and who spends way too much time on social media. Kanye was the only one that fit
Now this is delusional. Twitter has not seemed to change one iota other than equal opportunity "fact checking" so far. He posts the same as he did before, as did everyone else. Well, the CP is finally getting stricter crackdowns.Musk, from the quality of his own posts, appears to want a cesspool on Twitter

He may be posting the same things but he wasn't in charge of the system. An algorithm doesn't appear to sound effective or reliable when it can be easily used to fabricate an excuse when it doesn't work. How have any changes at Twitter resulted in a cesspool? And they have a short term memory, like they did with Spotify. Companies like to reach hundreds of millions of people, regardless of their false virtue. You're not wrong obviously.
But Twitter still needs them to make money.

Remember when this started off as supposedly just a "pump and dump?" They just keep moving the goalposts.Correct - but there are plenty of advertisers out there and many of which claim they support one thing and then immediately jump back to supporting the thing they decried just a few weeks later when people forget. And people *will* forget, or simply pretend they never said anything about.
Twitter isn't going anywhere and the children crying about how its "dying" and "going down" are quickly being shown their own ass as each day passes. People continue to return, in droves, while using the platform to cry about how terrible it is and how "evil" Musk is.
I would love nothing more than to see Twitter and all its contemporaries die. I truly believe that social media platforms such as these have only contributed to the greater idiocy of this generation, but reality is they aren't going anywhere.
