You have to imagine if the police officers weren't 20ft away to begin it would've ended differently. If you see where they are in the video I doubt they wanted to start a shootout in a confined space with two heavily armed attackers.
Because at a "minimum" this would have been the thread title:
"Two black guys arrested and in critical condition after walking into a police station carrying rifles, wearing body armor and masks and having a gun fight"
I wouldn't have blamed the officers if they did drop them. Open carry is one thing...walking into a police station with body armor, ski masks, and rifles is an entirely different animal.
That said, indeed...I would be willing to bet that if a couple of black guys had done this, even without the masks and armor, they probably wouldn't have walked out of there.

You know how as kids you punch the air near someone while taunting "i'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!" I guess some people never grow out of that behavior.
Most cops I'd assume (and hope) are trained to deal with a situation like that, there are a lot of idiots out there (with no intentions of hurting anyone) and I'd like to think the Cop's wouldn't employ "shoot first, ask questions later" tactics unless in real danger. But unfortunately, this is a basic practice rarely granted to minorities.

Yeah, it's really stupid. If they would have just walked in with a pistol and maybe a rifle, they would have not got this reaction. However, they walk in with rifles/pistols, body armor, and fucking ski masks. No shit the police are going to reaction that way.
