I've got an interview tommorow at one of the biggest magazine companies in the UK... then another next week at the other biggest magazine company!

Both are for jobs relating to videogame magazines.

Just asking for any interview tips. I've been looking over past GAF topics, but if anyone had some help specific for my future job, I'd be so greateful.

Don't wear your COG tags.

I was planning on wearing a shirt that says "Don't make me go Zelda on you", Dog Tags that say "Master Chief", a Mirror's Edge badge and a Naruto head band.

Don't say : my first question is (...)

You have to act natural. Also, try to comment on the answers given to you, even if you do not write your comments in the magazine.

I'd say have a recorder and a microphone, this helps so much. Otherwise, you'll lose many lines unless you have a god-like memory

Take some good pictures of the interviewed guys

Personal preference : do NOT tell them in advance the questions or content, at least be vague. Spontaneous answers are better than programmed ones. Also, don't try to make them look stupid or bad.

Respect

Profit

Thanks Mike, but right now I'll concentrate on getting one of these jobs :P

I subscribe to both Edge and Retro Gamer from the U.S. (for a pretty penny, too), so I love you guys' work (English people).

Use a spellchecker.

Oh, I thought you needed tips for interviews made by you :lol

Well, you could always try to interview your interviewer, that would be original :lol

I think you could bring a portfolio of texts you wrote, but please do not wear gaming clothes. They don't want a nerd (IMO) but a good writer, so show them your skills.

INSTANT SCRABBLE!
