Thank you so much for posting this. PS3 version doesn't look too bad. However, there seems to be less foliage (is that the same forest that DennisK4 had video for), and it's hard to tell how much detail there is with it being a cam version. Nevertheless, this is much appreciated Spaulding!

Anyway, why is it called Two Worlds? Do you travel to a parallell world at times or something?

If anyone does indeed know the answer to this question, please spoiler it, as I want to discover this for myself.

Some crazy stuff here but apparently the PS3 release may be pulled in Europe due to a dispute between Sony.

I heard it's only delayed beyond the previous Xmas release date. Surely they can't "pull" it!? The game is finished. Anyway, as long as there is some kind of PS3 English language version available somewhere...

Sony is threatening to pull it.

I love how when folks in the stream found out I was black, someone said it was weird seeing a black guy playing a nerdy game :lol

Excuse me if this has been asked, but is anything changing from the EU version to the NA version? I mean, besides a potential patch (like what happened with Risen). This was my most wanted game of the year, and now I have to wait another couple months. I'd buy the EU version for 360 if it was region free and there were no differences between the two versions.

Man, I wish I had the game now. Playing through Arcania just isn't the same...

Probably exactly the same unless they end up highly tesselating it which is very unlikely.

For potential PS3 gamers, take a look at this video

http://www.youtube.com/user/xCrystaria#p/u/1/RlX7yB26PMQ

The quality of the video is not great but as far as I can tell there is a decent amount of foliage and the atmosphere seems intact.

In fact that seem very nice to me but of course it is hard to judge textures etc.

I think this is a better video to show the foliage

Huh? Why would they do that? The game seems to run fine enough, judging by the videos.

It's awesome looking at a distant castle knowing that you're going to conquer it eventually. :D

Game could have used AF and more draw distance, though.

So is this sony dropping two worlds from the blueray presses to make room for gran turismo?

But is that the same area that you posted pictures from in the previous thread? Looks like a lot more fog in the PS3 version, and less foliage. To be honest, it probably wouldn't bother me if I didn't know how good the PC version looked.

I really dont know, I hope Sony doesnt pull Two Worlds II, that would be the most idiotic thing ever done.

So the PS3 footage looks good, what do you guys think?

At least it looks good on those shots (despite the shitty quality of the camera):

Hopefully some better ones show up soon. But I'm confident that the developers didn't screw up too much...

If the gran turismo thingy is even remotely true it would probably not come to that. Sony would need to appease the publisher in some way in order to not have a lawsuit on their hands, because that would probably constitute a clear abuse of a dominant position. Sony could ask MS what happens when you do that :p

Very much speculation and jumping to conclusions here but i'm bored =)

So how does the game feel? Looks a little better than the usual eurotrash RPG (which I like like, in a kitchy way).

Is the voice acting better than in Risen? That game had some of the best voice acting ever in an RPG. Does the game feel polished? Does it reward exploration with cool unique items etc?

Hm. The game looks really good, at least technically. I just need to get a feel about the story and lore of this, and then I might consider a purchase.

How does the game handle skills? Do you get better at certain skills by using them, like in Morrowind and Oblivion, or do you just distribute points when you level up?

Stealth, stealing, how does that work in this game?

I was ready to pick this up and then Risen went on sale for $15USD. Has anyone played both games who could offer an opinion on how they compare? If I've never played Risen will it fill the gap until the NA release of Two Worlds II or is TWII just the better game? If so I'll just pass on Risen and grab it from the UK store German proxy yadda yadda.

Risen is awesome. Double awesome for $15.

It feels like a much much bigger, much more polished and varied Risen (It's not as hard though, not on normal at least), voice acting isn't as good as Risen I would say, but it's never bad, and there are some funny jokes here and there, standard affair VA. Yes it is exploration heavy.

I'm 5 hours in and absolutely love it, more than I did with my first hours with Risen or any rpg the last couple of years.

I think TW2 is a great game. :lol

Yes. You get skill points for continues use of horses, lock picks, stealth kills... etc.

I do hope that Two Worlds II is much better than risen, because I tried the Risen demo on Steam and thought it was awful.

Could we (me) trouble you for a video clip of the water porn? Pretty please!? Not a problem if you can't, since you've spoiled us so much already.

Probably my favorite aspect of ANY game. I love it.

So stoked! I have the first game but didn't play much of it even though I enjoyed it enough. It had lots of promise and a niche to fill. I'd rather play something with a big world to explore than a more stripped, streamlined game like Mass Effect, but that's just me. It's also one of the reasons I'm no longer a big Bioware RPG fanboy, because they don't really make the types of RPGs I like to play anymore.

Well, I went ahead and picked up Risen for $15, but this is definitely still on my radar. If things aren't going well with Risen I may still pick this up. It just looks beautiful.

Well, I went ahead and ordered on Gamersgate, but it says pending. I searched through the previous posts because I thought I remembered it saying something being said about it, but wasn't able to find it in this thread. Anyone know what the deal with this is?

Once it's paid for you can just download it without the proxy.

The Risen Demo is awful, yet the full game was one of my favorites last year.

Posted this in the other thread, but I'll throw it in here too.

For anyone running Crossfire, if you don't want to disable one of the GPU / Cards just use RadeonPro and use the Elder Scrolls IV crossfire profile. You'll get perfect crossfire performance with no visual glitches that I've seen so far (4+ hours of play with that setting.)

Don't do this, the Oblivion profile causes excessive bloom and overbright.

Edit: To be fair, I'm referring to changing the exe name to Oblivion, but I'm quite certain that the same thing will happen if RadeonPro is used instead.

Thanks guys, got it.

Any word on the install limits with this game/Gamersgate? Wondering if I can have it on my laptop and home PC without any issues.

I know this may seem silly to point out but adjusting the gamma makes a pretty big difference. The bloom and brightness is a little overdone in places.

Yes, I reduced the gamma by 1 and the game looks much better in general. For anyone wanting to respec their character, don't worry, once you reach a certain point fairly early in the game you can respec for a very small amount of Auras.

I had to do this. The Savannah area was killing my eyes.

I was quite surprised the first time a Grom didn't mind swimming right after me as I tried to escape into the ocean.

without the serial key the game goes into 'demo mode', so you can install the game on as many computers as you want. but no idea if there is a limit on activations, probably not. twoworlds1 kind of used the same system. I would guess it will set the full version to the computer where the serial was last entered and revert the other(s) to demo mode, so most probably you can only have one full version activated at one time. well, unless you have more than one serial key. hehe.

Wow the 2nd chapter areas weapons destroy, when i hit level 26 I will be able to use two swords that hit for 200 each, not counting upgrades :D

I reached lvl 35 in mana, I have some crazy spells now. :lol

I always play warrior in rpgs, but impressions suggested magic is fun in this game, so I thought it was worth a shot, and yes it is.
