Not surprised Republican's would ram it through regardless of rules. The blowback on this is going to be insane. Unfortunately, not enough to make the texas legislature blue or anything.

Those poor people, these idiots passed it right under their noses

that's not what matters. 180,000 people saw them do it amidst a crowd screaming against their favor for 15 goddamn minutes. and many more will see it happen tomorrow.

Especially with social media.

Even if people think it won't be a big deal. If you have 180k people tweet this, and have them tweet this. It should go big.

I'm not sure it was for the bill, it may have been for the 3rd strike and end of the filibuster.
They did the third strike already--that's when the lady tried to move to adjourn and got shot down. Then they called another vote, which I believe was this bill. Then the crowd imploded and he claimed it was suspended...

SB5 has not been voted on. Lots of conflicting reports out there.

I do not, however, know what is being voted on at the moment.

It's officially over, #SB5 did not receive Senate approval

AP correspondent in Austin RT @cltomlinson: I just confirmed, there has been no vote on #sb5 #txlege shut down by protests.
