First the bad news: it isn't import friendly. There's not a word of english on the game, besides start/pause. I think i saved my game but i'm not sure. Gonna find out when i play again.
I always loved this series on ps2, but hated also because of the pivot-like physics. Teh game was always designed for turning with the directional pads, not the analog. With the analog it felt like driving a boat.
With the PSP i use the D-pad to turn and it works great. Feels more 'realistic' than the ps2 versions. Teh graphics are amazing! Your car, in-game, looks exactly like the ps2 version. The game as a whole looks excellent. It's a little grainy but that might be do to the PSP small screen.
The sound effects are great, there are other cars along the highway for traffic. I drove an AE85 and i started a career with the Miata (MX-5). And yes Genki's back to using licensed cars.
The highway is the entire highway from the first TXR game. I think that i saw other highways on the game's manual. I haven't figured out how to cruise yet, so i don't know if you can drive the entire highway like in the previous games.
The game takes a little while to get started going through all the screens. Loading times are a little slow for the cars to show up when you're selecting one. Between menus there's a 4-5 sec wait.
I hope some translation will appear online but so far this game continues the heritage from the previous games in the series.
and yeah i'm playing it on an US PSP.
