I vote Detroit.
Any stats on just how much of a financial black hole the Olympics are?
It varies on the city. Sochi is reportedly 4 times over budget due to corruption. The reason for the Olympics is that even thought it costs so much, it forces two decades with of infustructure advancements into one and with the support of the country instead of just the city or state.Any stats on just how much of a financial black hole the Olympics are?

Orlando is pretty much the tourist capital of the world. We're well seasoned. No reason why Orlando shouldn't be above Tamps! Now for Jacksonville, I don't know...
Orlando or Austin would be pretty cool.
Influx of money and attention.I don't get why anyone would want the Olympics in their city.

Haha Columbus Ohio. Just have it at the Mall of America .. same thing.
You can't find a city in the Western world more devoid of culture and history.
I'd personally like to see it in Denver.
Orlando or Austin would be pretty cool.
As someone who lives in Austin, the city couldn't handle it. Traffic is bad enough with the people we do have here.
