Then a renaissance of gaming magazines happens! Yay!

so we can safely deduce that ubi's anvil engine is made with 900p in mind? all of their games are 900p, no?
I'm sorry I told the truth. I shoulda lied.
This blog post is responding to a question no one asked while completely dodging the one gamers are asking.
And we would never do anything to intentionally diminish anything weve produced or developed.
No. AC4 was 1080p on PS4.
The Xbone is made with 900p in mind. That's the crux of all of this.
Thing is, thats way too particular to have been said by accident. You don't go out of your way to emphasize a certain point 'by acciden'. Nothing he originally said, can mean anything but what he said.
It is to me. If there was no internet and people just played their games, shit like pixel wars would be almost non existent.
No because that would most likely mean that the games wouldn't have the option of an increased resolution on pc. Engines aren't that simple.
i meant native res for consoles. of course that is scaleable. what i meant was their engine has always targeted 900p on consoles. ac4 was patched but it was 900p at launch. watchdogs as well. now this.
The feel of a first class resolutionLOL at the Phil Spencer's retweet, pretty much shameless.
Seems like his way to go is buying things he can't obtain otherwise.
Yet you feel compelled to boast about your supposed superiority in an equally trivial manner.
Already made my post in the other topic:
Wooooow epic bullshit.
No you fucking didn't. Who do you think you're fooling? Who the hell searches for words to describe an event happening and then falls on "We decided to lock them at the same specs to avoid all the debates and stuff'?" That's someone describing a precise accounting of internal discussions that went on, and he was not supposed to share that shit out loud so he got caught.
How fucking dumb does Ubisoft think gamers are? Profoundly, apparently. The whole post is them trying to convince us how beautiful the game is (which is not the goddamn point), and then them saying nonsense like this:
No, that is not what gamers were wondering you gargantuan fucking liars.
I thought people were joking about Phil Spencer retweeting this. Amazing!
Dear Ubisoft,
Please hire me to do your PR for you.
No amount of PR would help Ubisoft in this case. PS4 gamers would still question exactly why this game was 900p in the end on their system. In a way, it is good that this hit ahead of the release so you can make a better decision regarding your money.
Thanks Ubisoft! You schmucks.
Seems that while crowds are essential to the game, the French language, or French accents for that matter, are not. Thus, we have Napoleon with a British accent!

So Far Cry 4 is 1080p. Is that using a different engine or something?
The confected outrage over this is hilarious.
900p or 1080p, its a marginal difference. 90+ per cent of consumers wont give a damn, otherwise Ubisoft would push for the 'GAF standard' of 1080p 60fps.
This said, their attempt to roe back on very clear remarks about graphical parity are also hilarious.
I love how they seemingly have so much respect for France and Paris except, you know, the FrenchThe bolded is crucial.
This company has no respect for our intelligence D:
ouchYeah... ignorance is bliss, right ?

Yeah... ignorance is bliss, right ? Always going to be war, just design the best game for each system, its that simple.
I accept that the one competent Ubisoft PR manager woke from a depressing bender, saw what he said originally and immediately flipped his shit.
This is a valid response, for me. I can accept that he misspoke.
Preach.
They've already clearly given their reasoning already and are now trying to pretend its all one big misunderstanding. All of this backpedaling is just absurd and honestly insulting theater.
This is the same company that is telling it's consumers that 30fps is better than 60 because it gives a more cinematic feeling... They think their audience are morons that will believe whatever is fed to them. The bolded is crucial.

That fact that you call it pixel wars shows you actually have no clue what this whole discussion has been about from the beginning. Ok, we know you don't care but, did we really need to know? If this doesn't affect you why did you feel you needed to let us know?
Not quite the same due to api, custom divers, gddr5, console specific settings. You can't expect a pc to perform identically to a console of specific spec, especially since the pc game is a slightly different codebaseWould be great if someone had a PC build that more or less was just like PS4's CPU and GPU and ran the game no problem at 1080p and a locked 30fps.

Eh, you're right. Should've said nothing. After all, if I'm not going to join in with the pitchforks, why bother to share my opinion at all?
Anyway, UBI said what they said, it's up to the individual if they are gonna buy it not. Watchdogs had a similar downgrade controversy, but ended up breaking sales records.
