The Division 2 is a great game, but this is why GaaS sucks. Essentially they won't even start work on a Division 3 until after 2022, by then the game's player base could be dead.

The Division 2 is awful visually and is in desperate need of a Next-Gen visual upgrade that amounts to much more than just a simple bump in resolution, framerate or the quick and dirty addition of minor RT effects.

The models, the texture work and overall visual design was significantly worse than The Division 1; and this even after the massive downgrade of D1 from it's initial reveal.

Great news. Love this game. It deserves the longest legs possible.


that said hopefully they iron out that patch, I'd like to see them just fully upgrade the game with a native PS5/Series X executable. Fully tap into the hardware. See how close it could get to PC.

I think given the horsepower in these systems the could get close.

They make both Avatar and now Star Wars. Avatar, afaik, has been in development since 2017 but they're gag-ordered cause the contract requires them to wait for the movie to come out to reveal the game.
