If Okami by some small chance manages to win would it be the biggest victory for a Japanese fighter in the UFC?

I think it would be the biggest upset in UFC history. It's not every day you see the P4P best in the world lose. That said, I think Okami can do it. He will take Anderson down, and I think he can keep him there. Okami and Sonnen are the two people with the best chance at defeating Anderson at 185, and they train together.

I didn't see the slip until someone posted it on YT. Dana was bitching before that video was on the internet.
Even if that hadn't happened, there are lots of fights where a guy's shorts are riding up or down because of the grappling. So you know it's going to happen at some point. Also who would want to get triangled or even in a tight guard by a guy in a speedo? I don't think it's homophobic to not want a guy's near naked crotch wrapped around your face.

I thought it was hilarious, especially against Ebersole, but it's not something I want to see again. Would you be cool if it were just a jock strap and cup? Cuz it's not much different.

WAR SHOGUN

i have doubts about which shogun will show up, but even if he isnt at his best he should still be loads better then their first fight. i think he'll light forest up!

The way Sonnen talks about Okami, I'd say he has a very good chance of winning.

and you can take what sonnen says to the bank!

the ppl talking themselves into okami winning are like when ppl got hyped into thinkin hardy had a shot at winning the ww strap.

this.

I sometimes entertain the notion of an underdog challenger beating a dominant champ, like with Shields against GSP and Sonnen beating Silva, but I don't see any possible scenario based on reality where Okami wins other than Anderson having gotten old overnight and losing his speed and reflexes or having a heart attack and collapsing in the cage.

In a world where Fedor has lost three fights in a row, anything is possible...

but

yeah, you're right.

here are the lines

Anderson Silva (30-4) -525 vs. Yushin Okami (26-5) +375 [Middleweight title]
Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (19-5) -240 vs. Forrest Griffin (18-6) +190
Brendan Schaub (8-1) -250 vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-6, 1 NC) +200
Ross Pearson +250 (12-4) vs. Edson Barboza (8-0) -310
Luiz Cane (11-3) -245 vs. Stanislav Nedkov (11-0) +195
Thiago Tavares (15-4-1) -215 vs. Spencer Fisher (24-7) +175
Rousimar Palhares (12-3) -255 vs. Dan Miller (13-5, 1 NC) +205

Its a joke, Silva is going to dominate Okami so utterly it will be embarrassing to watch. That said... I hope he wins because I dont like Silva. Also, Shogun and Schaub are my picks.

if he didnt come up in chute box maybe you'd have a point.

Well if you say so. I hope you're right.

Yeah because he looked shell shocked in the fight after the Jo...wait...

Shogun thought he was being underestimated by the media, then Jones comes and just beats the fuck out of Shogun like he was a nobody. That hurts.

Kinda like the people who thought Tito could beat Rashad, right?

i want all the brazilians to lose just to see the shit storm that would cause.

If that happens I can't wait to see Sonnen's trolling.

I'm hoping the hurricane doesn't knock out my power early and stop me from watching this.

I think Zombie Nog over Schaub is a worthy underdog bet personally.

I think he's too slow for Schaub these days, but I'll never pick against Nog and would love to be proven wrong. Heart says Nogueria sub, mind says Schaub decision.
