Aww, see, it's cute how you can say that while ignoring the past two-dozen posts I've made shitting all over your arguments.

Or, to call me a "joke" given your OP's.

I'm sure if Biff Hardbody were still around, you'd crap on him too.

that's right. my OPs are a joke. most of the people who post in the thread are "in" on the joke. they are meant to be taken tongue in cheek. if you get offended by them or take them seriously, i feel sorry for you.

i wasn't even really engaged in discussion with you. most of the arguments in the past 1 or 2 pages came were with Natural on whether or not Anderson Silva was a ppv draw or something retarded along those lines. all i said i wanted was for champs to fight 3 times a year, and pointed to mr. edgar as potentially have the chance to do that.

and yearning for times on a forum long, long ago is sad. 2005 was 7 years ago, let it go man. i've been around on this forum for as long as you and have probably been following the sport just as long. so you pulling the tenure card is laughable. you know what i remember from back in the day in Off-topic GAF? i remember a ton of posts from a guy with a TMNT avatar endlessly complaining about being a virgin.

oh and here's you "shitting" on my arguments:

Shitting on MMA OGs like that just reveals how much of a poison you are to GAF MMA discussion.

also: because beating up on yacobod's shitty troll logic is easy. Like doing a few rounds on a heavy bag.

Aww, yacobod. I <3 you. Because when what you write is dumb as hell, you don't back away, you just double down on the stupid. (:

edit: oh, but I agree with the part where the biggest danger to GSP is the ring rust, and whether he is 100% in his recovery. Why, it's almost like Diaz himself is a complete non-factor in that equation. (:

your posts are pretty light on content brah and are pretty much cheap shots.

good day sir (:

Do you really think the Pats are going to win, or are you just going with Brady and co to spite the Giants?

I'm driving down to Indy tomorrow to visit my brother, wanted to check out the city with the SB crowd, go people watch, bird watching, drink some beers, watch the fights. Might hit the streets before the game and see if we can scalp some tickets. Going to a SB would be cool from a bucket list perspective.

I'm taking the Giants tho. Iron hardens iron, they had the tougher run in the playoffs. They beat Atlanta, Green Bay, and San Fran. I think they will beat up NE.

I've been trying to post threads around mid-week. I think the bigger fights, for example Silva/Sonnen 2 when it happens, deserve week long hype threads.

fair enough, i was speaking more globally for the forum. i had to get this thing thrown together over the weekend because my time during the week is pretty limited.

at least i didn't forget to make those sherdog fantasy picks again.

The general forum rule is 2 weeks before.

Speaking of the sherdog picks, this is a difficult event to pick for. I feel like I'm going to bomb.

Primetime only makes me like Conduit more, the way he's on the show just cause they couldn't make it only about GSP and Diaz. Would be funny to see another UFC hypetrain derailed the way Lesnar quit and the former best hw in the world Velasquez got beat in a minute.

Difference is Diaz is actually good and don't give a fuck about anything but fighting.

All of these guys are actually good before they get wrecked, then they become irrelevant and we can all jump on the next bandwagon. Sure his personality is refreshing, but it hasn't been a secret these guys hate doing all this press stuff. It's cool that he respects Conduit and actually dissed how the UFC is already hyping up him vs GSP.

Lesnar was never good. He could overwhelm some guys with his size and power but he was always terrible as a fighter. After 2 surgeries he became, understandably, even worse.

Shouldn't we be talking about the real fight happening tomorrow and not some he/she said handbag fest on the internet?

My opinion : It's going to be awesome !

I am really supporting Diaz but I have to admit that I am afraid how everyone (especially n the media) is underselling Conduit, and treating this as a foregone conclusion.
Conduit earned his change for a title fight (even if this was initially due to Diaz missing the media events).

Even though I can't see Diaz loosing and can't wait for the Diaz vs GSP rivalry ( I also believe that Dany White is hoping on a Diaz win because it'll make it a lot easier to advertise) I believe that Conduit still has a chance and I expect a good fight.

P.S Wouldn't it be incredible if Conduit straight k.o.s Diaz in the first 10 seconds. IT WOULD BE LOL !

Don't give a darn.

If I go shit this event, I'll probably alternate between site favourites and underdogs.

It would be nice if the OP had the time of the main card in it.

You just -know- Diaz/Condit is going to be a fuckin' fight.

Hoping for at least 15 minute war with a finish.

Diaz by sub.

I don't feel strongly about anything on this card so I just randomly boosted Kos, Poirier, Riddle, The Immortal Mike Brown, and Thompson.

I legitimately don't know who the bolded guys are.

Then I would change my random "Thompson by KO in R2" pick to Thompson by decision and feel good about the boost.

I enjoyed it a lot, because of every minute of Diaz being Diaz and because I could get through it 50% faster than most Primetimes. I simply fast-forwarded through every Condit segment.

I can't believe I'm boosting Riddle, but I am boosting Riddle. This feels like one of those "NEVER AGAIN." scenarios. Just don't know enough about Thompson to boost him against a grappler.

This is why I don't do MMA pick 'em. Picking these watered-down cards with a bunch of unknowns, it's as good as throwing darts blindfolded.
