As a wrestling and MMA fan, I don't get it either. Punk kept his promise to fight and he got schooled. Dana made UFC look carny as fuck.

MMA fans that thought UFC wasn't just as carny as pro-wrestling were deluding themselves. It's time people owned up to liking something as lowbrow as MMA. It's okay, nobody is judging, this is a safe space, we're all in the same boat.

There's a reason why you can't go for finger joints when fighting in MMA, a finger can also get stucked in a glove, the pain Browne must have felt, he probably thought that's what happened. Same as when a mouthpiece falls or when a gloves his loose due to the tape having fall off or whatever, ref can step in when made aware of it. Werdum clearly stopped, and then went right after him, it was a conscious decision to strike him while he was showing the ref his hand when enough space was clearly made. It wasn't in a excahnge or anything.

I've been in a boxing amateur fight where my opponent made the ref aware that he lost a tooth, I didn't go after him while his head was turned because I'm not a bad sport nor am I a animal. I find pride in beating someone at their best, not due to a shitty opportunity.

If Werdum had anything like Maia's single leg, this fight would be done and over.

I don't count out Browne until the fight is well and truly over.

That Overeem fight was like 135 strikes to 5 and Browne weathered the storm and won.

Again, the fight doesn't stop because you hurt your hand or you want to show the ref your hand. Werdum was fighting within the rules, Browne was the one that wasn't.

I for one am shocked this organisation about people punching each other is not of a refined quality.
