Not doing AS WELL as predicted. Labour is growing, but not as much as had been predicted in the exit poll.....according to Beeb pollsters anyway. Still early days so we'll have to wait and see.

Er, Houghton & Sunderland South has swung towards the Tories.

Although it was such a safe Labour seat, it might not mean much.

So we just have swears on the Guardian now? Sweeeet!

I'd be very wary drawing conclusions from two neighbouring Labour safe seats. Need more results to know how things are heading. I suspect the result will actually be a Tory majority as we expected but it's a matter of how much.

Those results were underwhelming...

Idk whether to embrace the temporary joy, or try and be realistic to make the crash back down to earth smaller

Labour are the underdogs and Tories have been upperclass arrogant smug.

The British love underdogs I feel better than I did about Brexit.

Something tells me hope isn't lost. The people had a moan about Brexit and now they are going to have a moan about the Tories

General vibe is that exit poll overly pessimistic for tories but realisation that they need a decent majority which they are not going to get.

Another election with new Tory leader looks likely
