I'm usually very fiscally conservative, but my recent hours at work have meant I've saved up a lot of money as I simply don't have the time to spend it.

The PlayStation 3D monitor is good for that. Nice for a bit of splitscreen too as both viewers get to watch two different full size images.

I've been around GAF for quite a while, but only started checking out OT in the last 6 months, so maybe I missed some history here, but what is the deal with OT and rape?

It seems like there are at least 1 or 2 threads a week about sexual assault/rape. Do people think it's prime ban-bait, leading to some unspoken contest to see which thread can get the most people banned?

That's what happens when people try to somehow justify forcing themselves on others. "Oh, the war had ended, so the lack of consent is understandable!"

Then the "feminism is nothing but YOU ARE A VICTIM MEN ARE EVIL" crowd comes along, then others have some macho "this is nothing but a movement to make men less manly!" etc. and then the King of NeoGAF comes in with a really super-idiotic couple of comments and people are empowered because if EviLore thinks the notion of men forcefully kissing women is okay, then it must be okay! and it all goes to shit.

Meanwhile, I just got onto chapter 4 of Peace Walker, and now the game has finally gotten challenging.

A damn shame, that kid. Perfect example of someone who was actually right on most of the issues they talked about but lacked any sense of how to talk to other people and thus acted like a right Jeremy. Yeah, that Andrew guy is an alright lecturer. I remember this one time I went up to him and asked if he can be my supervisor for my Honours project and he said he would but when I gave him my project idea he changed his mind and directed me towards another lecturer...which was nice of him really because he could've left me in the dirt.
Btw, are you planning to get into the video game industry? You'll probably know this guy anyway but I'll PM you the name of a lecturer who's got links to certain video game companies (or he did when I was in uni). Amazing guy, he was supervisor for my master's dissertation and he was a really helpful and supportive lecturer. Speak to him and he'll point you to the right direction

Books are worth it imo. But as far as Hollywood adoptions go, its up there.
