Spent half a grand on clothes and jewellery this weekend.

Only went to drop my sister off at a job interview and then suddenly had the impulse to blow some wedge.

Downside: I'm a monkey down.
Upside: I look like a boss.

I don't think I could ever do that. I'm not looking forward to having to splash the cash for a new TV, even if I know I need one. Anyone know of a decent 26ish" HD television that displays SD footage well?

I'm usually very fiscally conservative, but my recent hours at work have meant I've saved up a lot of money as I simply don't have the time to spend it.

The PlayStation 3D monitor is good for that. Nice for a bit of splitscreen too as both viewers get to watch two different full size images.

I've been around GAF for quite a while, but only started checking out OT in the last 6 months, so maybe I missed some history here, but what is the deal with OT and rape?

It seems like there are at least 1 or 2 threads a week about sexual assault/rape. Do people think it's prime ban-bait, leading to some unspoken contest to see which thread can get the most people banned?

That's what happens when people try to somehow justify forcing themselves on others. "Oh, the war had ended, so the lack of consent is understandable!"

Then the "feminism is nothing but YOU ARE A VICTIM MEN ARE EVIL" crowd comes along, then others have some macho "this is nothing but a movement to make men less manly!" etc. and then the King of NeoGAF comes in with a really super-idiotic couple of comments and people are empowered because if EviLore thinks the notion of men forcefully kissing women is okay, then it must be okay! and it all goes to shit.

Meanwhile, I just got onto chapter 4 of Peace Walker, and now the game has finally gotten challenging.

A damn shame, that kid. Perfect example of someone who was actually right on most of the issues they talked about but lacked any sense of how to talk to other people and thus acted like a right Jeremy. Set gender discussions on GAF back two years before the "paging RiskyChris!" comments finally died down.

Well, all those embarrassing years of learning Scottish country dancing at school has finally paid off; I ended up with a girl's number after she was impressed with my moves. Reason 3241 as to why Scotland is fucking awesome.

Yeah, that Andrew guy is an alright lecturer. I remember this one time I went up to him and asked if he can be my supervisor for my Honours project and he said he would but when I gave him my project idea he changed his mind and directed me towards another lecturer...which was nice of him really because he could've left me in the dirt.
Btw, are you planning to get into the video game industry? You'll probably know this guy anyway but I'll PM you the name of a lecturer who's got links to certain video game companies (or he did when I was in uni). Amazing guy, he was supervisor for my master's dissertation and he was a really helpful and supportive lecturer. Speak to him and he'll point you to the right direction :)

What the hell is going on. Devo banned? Must say I'm surprised. But maybe the rest of us girls will have a chance to talk for ourselves now.

And I'm kinda glad I stayed away from the dolphin porn thread from the looks of how it ended.

Had a nice quiet day playing Avatar, doing housework, watching Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and New South Park. Oh and shopping this morning, the boyfriend bought me a knuckle duster handle mug and a pair of sexy new converse. Good day!

Yeah Hollywood version. It was actually a lot better than I was expecting.

Might give the originals a whirl for comparison. Dunno if I'll both with the books the. Have so much to read at the mo.

Books are worth it imo. But as far as Hollywood adoptions go, its up there.

I've always thought that Harvester's country gravy tastes a little like it. I think the key is the pepperiness.

Why don't you just go to KFC?

Man, had a sick night last night. Went to a house party up the road, a window got broken and somehow their burglar alarm went off so we had to get the hell out because they don't know how to turn it off.
Went to our Union's saturday night which was SIIIICK. They've started selling these 2 pint cups now, oh lawd yes.

Tesco ? Done a quick google search and nothing came up.

Has to be from tesco folks.

My nearest KFC is like 10 miles away.. I need a gravy to store it for quick easy awesome chips and GRAVY.

I will make some HOME-MADE chips and apply the bisto chicken gravy over them.

KFC gravy's taste comes from burned bits of batter that come off in frying. The bits that get stuck in the filter.

I used to work there. Not eating a Kentucky again, will stick to Ken's or PFC.

So the lady I took to Paris has just squared off the debt owed by buying a ton of awesome blu rays. Five Disney films, the Universal Monster boxset and the HBO Rome boxset.

Going to be drowning in good watchings.

KFC gravy is an addictive substance that should be banned. Tastes so fucking good.
