(I'm hyped for Frank West mostly but seth hyped up rocket raccoon which made me want to see what he is like.

Wesker (Badass in general)
Dormammu (LIKE THIS, LIKE THAT, LIKE THIS THIS, LIKE THAT)
Viper (well I kind of liked her in SFIV but her MvC3 appearance makes her so much more awesome)
Spencer (Bought Bionic Commando afterwards too after cautious hype... could not get past linear game design though to finish it)

I got a free month and I read everything as I can with Super Skrull and Deadpool.

For me, it was Dormammu & Spencer. (I've actually warmed up to his BC '09 design thanks to Marvel)
 
Everyone got a bump for me. If I were a comic buying dude, I'd want to read stuff with Dorm, Deadpool, She-Hulk, MODOK, X23, Taskmaster, ect. I remember around when it first came out people were asking for comics with certain characters in them.
 
I always found it interesting that Deadpool who was a who cares? character in the 90's and early 2000's ended up being one of the more famous Marvel characters out there now.

I mean I barely knew the guy and thought he was a Spider-Man rip-off for a while, but now i've grown to like him.
 
There was another recording of that line used in early builds of vanilla. I agree, it sounded more sinister and was better overall. Dunno why they changed it.

Viper, Spencer, Taskmaster, She-Hulk, potentially Phoenix Wright, Firebrand.

Edit: I love that Marvel 3 brought some Doctor Strange love to the masses. Dormammu, Strange himself, and Shuma with context were great additions.

Oh yeah, forgot Firebrand, too. Played Gargoyle's Quest after seeing him in Ultimate, and was surprised at how solid it was. Definitely want to try his other titles sometime.
 
I knew pretty much everyone except Super Skrull because I never got into FF beyond some Dr. Doom stories. I then read some stuff with him and he's pretty cool.
