You can't use Maya moves in Courtroom stance and Maya has a long cooldown. But the Barrier does block projectiles and physical attacks.

I think not only starting weak but certain moves and hypers only usable in certain stances is gonna kill him.

Yeah I turned it off entirely, no use watching for a rare PW or Nova appearance from someone who can't play for shit every 30-40 mins.

I wonder if Phoenix Wright and Dr. Strange will work together? I could see Phoenix like both the Eye of Agamotto and Disks of Denak assists a lot. And Strange would no doubt love to have a little dog gnaw at his opponents feet while bouncing around projectiles and teleport traps in the air. Between all the flashy stuff Strange can do, little Missile is easy to miss in the visual noise.

It's pure theory fighting, but it'd be worth checking out, at least, I think.

I should look into if Strange works for me when the game releases, then. Will most likely need a no-nonsense third, though, as both Dr. Strange and Mr. Wright have some setup before they get really nasty. Someone who can just come out of the gates swinging and probably take a hit. There's a voice in the back of my mind that yells out "THOR!", but I don't think so. Still, he does have pointer finger and the hammer, so he'll get along fine with Wright. Plus he's one of the characters I really want to get to work for me... because he's The Mighty Thor. I'm a fan.

Also, fun, yet basic idea: Wright can tag out in Turnabout mode and keep it. That's nice. But... doesn't that mean you have a 600k level 3 stocked for a nasty DHC? Use a character that has an easy setup for a level 1, and then DHC into Phoenix Wright. That could be a braindead easy 800k. A fun candidate would be Strange's projectile counter hyper. Random Shinkuu Hadoken? Dead Ryu. If you X-Factor you pretty much have an instant kill pocketed for most of the cast. Of course, Virgil might be able to do something similar with his level 3, but that one doesn't hit fullscreen.

The game is over a month away, and I'm already bashing around ideas in my head. It's too early for that. Yet, I can't control help it. I am officially hyped for UMvC3 now.
 
Just watched that Seth PW walkthrough stream archive. Am I understanding this right? He can get bad evidence that doesn't power up his state and whether it's good or bad is random? That sucks. I'm not of fan of luck involved in potentially swinging a match. (although I did like MSH, but either player could get a gem). I'm sure tourney players want nothing to do with luck determining a power-up.

Yikes, that "Hold it" stun is random too. Yikes.
 
Pheonix Wright all the way.

If they ever let you do 3x teams of the same character, I'm putting three of him in my team.

In all fairness Wright is extremely weird to figure out during the average match.

Spending your free moments grabbing and throwing evidence, figuring out the weird normals,then switching modes, while using assists and Maya...it's a lot to keep track of during the crazy pace of a MVC3 match.
