I accidentally saved the game when the military caught me six hours away from the end and now I have to make my way through the entire game so that I can see that ending.

At least I'm at level 35...
 
Maybe I'm the only one, but the Servbot hyper is the only one I would like to return from TvC. And fix the hitbox on that shit, make it a proper projectile. The rest I never felt were representative or particularly imaginative.

Hmm, actually including them on the roster would've been a more convincing way of "showing love" for Saki and Vanessa...but I digress. Interesting information, and glad to see all of the vanilla alts still there (one of the few cases where there were none I disliked then). Don't think much of the pink one, but the white one's cool.

Yeah, the rest were kinda boring IMO. Just based on what other crazy stuff they could've used.

I'd be happy if he got an alt costume with the Servbot head too though, maybe a girly dress too for shits and giggles.

They've announced SCV and SFxT ones already, I don't think we'll get UMvC3 ones.

I actually tried taking an art test for that game at one point several months ago. I was doing one of the clean up artist tests that Ravidrath would send folks. It wasn't for a job though...just critique work. Unfortunately college kicked in full effect so things kind of went south for doing anything this time consuming. I'm pretty sure Ravidrath got my message about this and he gave me some smart advice on my portfolio site before this though so I think the experience achieved what it was meant to. Kind of sucked though because that same week I had said I was expecting to get the time to finish up and send him my work to critique.

That team is seriously awesome and nice. Took the time in the middle of all that shit to send me a test and help me get an idea of what to expect in the industry. Gave me a site critique within our first conversation or so...guys are getting my money thats for sure.

Also their art pipeline is TIGHT. I won't go into it, but there were enough particulars written up and setups between layers to keep their artists on top of things no matter what. Guys have a seriously awesome art pipeline setup. 0% chance of boning things for them if you listen to them. That kind of instruction is something other mentors of mine say is RARE. I really appreciated the details.

On the brighter side of getting an opportunity and then blowing a chance for critique work like this it DID prep me for all the cleanup and such on what I now face myself for my portfolio animations. I'll likely follow a very similar setup with layers, and brushes to the Skullgirls cleanup test to improve the quality and speed of my work for the animations I'm needing to try and gun through in the next 50 weeks.

Way offtopic on this, but I couldn't pass up the chance to gush about Ravidrath and the rest of the crew over on Skullgirls. Awesome bunch of guys that really care about the genre, the art, and their fans. Support them.

I'm seeing that PW on point + tag out is a great strategy. That way if you lose him, you don't have that gamble of a character to bank on and one that tries to find evidence alone.

On top of that, it allows whichever character you tag in to build lots of meter for Wright and his level 3. Also, A RARE GOOD IRON FIST HAS APPEARED! Dude is a meter building machine, god damn.

XFLVL1 Took out more than 2/3, closer to 3/4 of Nemesis' health and killed him BEFORE the last hit of it. It was in one of the Eventhubs videos from France.

That level 3 is no joke. And neither is Vergil's level 4 if it does even more damage.

Get a single combo on him and, as long you finish your plate, you suddenly got a dead Strider. That's how things are looking like in all these vids I see Strider playing.

The man looks straight up like a beast (oh lawd, dem level 3 orbs), but it's also looking like a stray wind will blow his ass up.
 
Holy crap at Iron Fist wave dash! He covers so much ground so fast that he can time a dash between Ghost Rider chains. Even if he takes a hit from the first one he makes it in by the second one and puts the guy on defensive!

It likely won't be as effective against beam users or arrows, but its good to know he can deal with Ghost Rider without heavy assists or a lot of jumping games.

It will take some effort to manage Strider's health. Chip damage is going to be his biggest enemy like in MvC2 it seems. I think running him 2nd might be the best option. Well, until some effective tech comes out to manage him on point without the wind blowing.

Strider had to face all the horrible things he has done to robots for years, and all the bullshit he put poor characters through and partnering with Doom in MvC2.

What happened at 2:47? Did Strider's Satellite blow up on impact with PW special (don't know the name), killing Strider? If so, that's something to keep in mind.

His level 3 is freaking ridiculous. But I still think it's going to be tough to even get to that point. As we saw in that second video where Iron First was Iron Fisting PW he couldn't get anything going even with Maya shields and had a hard time collecting evidence. It seems like when you're playing against PW you have to mad rush him down, spam projectiles, anything you can to disrupt him collecting the evidence. Even once he has it, he's not extremely mobile for a combo machine. It's going to be super important that you have the right assists to allow PW the time to collect the evidence, then tag him out to Anchor and save XF for the one frame that he needs to land Lv 3. It seems to me like you're probably not going to have PW do really any fighting, instead just saving him for Anchor with 3 meters to literally Turnabout the match.

... And once you have all three evidence pieces you can switch into Turnabout Mode by doing the Objection (Forward+H...?) and from there you're free to land the Lv 3, right?

LOL... everyone can do what Iron Fist can and there are characters who can air dash/fly over/teleport behind. Iron Fist is considered a low air mobility character in the game.

I was just talking about jumping. Jumping seems like a faster way to get over her than air dashing or flying over. Teleporting is the fastest of course.

Her shield seems more of a risk than I originally thought. Used at the wrong time and you'll be severely punished.

That's why you'll generally want an assist like Hidden Missiles or Heartless Spire for better coverage.
 
LOL a tri-dash is way faster than a normal jump. Also dive kicks.

Wright is free to do whatever when Maya is on screen. It's not a risk to put the shield out but you have to be ready to block once someone gets in. It's not hitting Maya is going to remove health.
