My first 2 hours impressions of the game: weird pacing. Remember when Uncharted 1 started out slow? Well, Uncharted 2 kinda starts out slow too, but the action is still engaging. It's pretty weird, but awesome in a way.


And damn, Dan Shoe's team at the tournament really wanted that Fortune Hunter edition. I don't blame them, but they were pretty much camping the majority of that match.

I think that's what they hope. Doesn't matter than Uncharted 1 was a slow burner. If U2 is a huge hit, U1 will be too.

I didn't even realize he was in the team until after they had killed my team. At least I made it to the finals. Turns out, according to them, they had pegged our team as #1 threat and were paying special attention to my playstyle to defend against it. I think putting on a good-show with the spectator station was my undoing in the end! :lol

Ah well, at least our team (two of whom had never played the game) got second place, which mean a copy of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune signed by the team. So good!

I'll post pictures tomorrow, although my friends were using the camera more than I was. My time was spent more chatting it up with some of my old co-workers, like Sam Thompson, and trying to strategize with my team members.

From the sounds of SCE persons, depending on how well-received it is in the paid format they will attempt to continue to do such events. Honestly, for 5 hours of a tournament with 15 total prizes (3 teams) intertwined with small sections of the game (all previously shown at E3 and PAX, aside from the first one), raffle giveaway between each, plus food and drink... $15 is not half bad! Compared to $10 for trailers and a movie @2 hours general.

it's too late, the game has already been recalled for emergency title-screen reassignment, all pre-orders will be refunded, and the game will be delayed until an indeterminate point in Q1 2010. On the plus side, this guarantees an additional two metacritic points, so it's worth it in the long run for the consumer
