Nice! Like Colin, I thought for sure dev time would slip into next month, but it's good to be wrong in this case. They've more than earned a little vacation time by now.

I just noticed Naughty Dog and Nathan Drake have the same initials... I'm dumb.
Don't forget Neil Druckmann.

May is going to be a busy month for me, Uncharted 4, Valkyria Chronicles Remaster, and Mirror's Edge.

It'll be summer for Japan at best. In a miracle, it'll hit the USA in 2016 at some point.

Europe will get it when hell freezes over.

Yeah I was thinking December 2016 at the earliest for NA...hopefully.

the May release date is actually fine because I'm going to be consumed with Dark Souls 3 for the foreseeable future...might not even get Uncharted 4 on release day (most likely will though because it looks amazing and I'm sure the story will be great as well with the Last of Us writers in charge)...best looking console game ever! (Xbox or PlayStation)

It's kind of surprising to me that it'll now take about 7 and a half weeks between the game going gold to getting enough copies of the games to stores. It's certainly not just the base game as there's a special edition, special PS4 bundle, and perhaps even Multiplayer stuff that still needs to be worked on (not to mention a Day 1 patch perhaps for the single player). Still, unless there are difficulties getting getting some of this bonus material created, feels like a rather long wait.

So let me get this straight? It will take Sony 7 weeks just to certify and release the game to global retailers? Even though today the game has gone gold?!?!?! It takes that long to certify games? Wow!

*Total noob/totally ignorant about what it takes to certify games and the length involved.

Edit: It looks like I have my answer!

Congrats to ND and looks like UC4 will be worth the wait.

Lookong forward to putting work on UC4 (both SP & MP) as well as NMS!

Hopefully Sony & ND do a theater event for UC4 - loved attending the events for both 2 & 3.

End of a great series. Cannot wait to play it.

I hope they stick to it and don't drag the series out farther than it needs to be. ND are great devs so i'm down for whatever their next title is.

So excited about this game. The past games have had issues that always pissed me off, but I love the franchise and can't wait to see how to ends now.

Is any one else waiting until they get PSVR to play this game. I am because I want to play that on a fucking IMAX! Really pumped for VR :)

You'll get better quality sitting right in front of the monitor you have now. Doubly so if it's a decent sized HDTV.

PSVR cinematic mode will be cool... but it's going to be of a lower resolution than a 1080p set of any kind.

Going gold doesnt really hype me up when the release is still so far away.

Like okay the game is done.... Still gotta wait.

This game is going to set a new record for sales.

Pretty sure the game will leak ahead of the launch on May 10. I expect to get my hands on it at the end of April :D

I don't get it, it's gold, why do we have to wait for so long? it takes almost 2 months to manufacture enough copies? c'mon!

But seeing ND guys say this is their best Uncharted... I know these guys, they don't usually talk like that, they actually believe it is, can't wait.

Congrats! I'm so hyped for this! have it pre-ordered but have to wait like two weeks before playing because of grad work

The last delay was because of some manufacture issue that had come up, and they said it would be worth the extra wait. Maybe some special thing in the packaging? :)

I will most surely at lest test this feature out, since I game in front of 32" from ~1.8m. Its far from the greatest setup in the world.

Still I still belive I will spend majority of my gaming of "flat tv" games in front of my small HDTV.

Maybe it was some big fuckup with localization, or they simply want to offer more languages for a big worldwide launch.
