TW3 was a buggy, poorly performing mess at launch.
Bloodborne performed poorly at launch also, and it has a relatively high metacritic, etc.

Great, you guys talking about the Metacritic scores are getting me worried again. I will absolutely lose my shit if this scores less than 90.![]()
There is absolutely no way this will not get over a 90. No way at all.
Critics: "Challenge Accepted"
Seriously though, I've been predicting a 96 and I stand by it.
I find this so bizarre.
Credenticals or not, you have not played the game. It has every chance of being shit.
taking it as a given the game is going to be a masterpiece is a bit to presumptious for my tastes.
It would make them look silly and make the excuse they used look even more flimsy (to some people). That is why I think the 3rd is a best case.Hmm, this got me thinking. Since the game already went gold, I wonder if Sony can sort out those supposedly manufacturing issues and push the game back to its April 26th release date. I would be so happy if it happens.
Naughty Dog has an impeccable track record. I don't see why it's so hard to believe it'll be yet another masterpiece.
And I have played the game (remember the beta?) and it was the most fun in a multiplayer game I've had in years.

Critics will find some flaw to focus on. AAA games get a harder look these days. I see a metacritic of 8. There will be an Angry Joe thread about him giving it a 5.
I see myself liking it better than U3 but not U2.
Dont really know about GAF fans, but on other places on the internet, the mentality is insane. It always gets on my nerves that people will criticize a 9/10 score for Uncharted and rant about the media being biased, but no one had a problem with Uncharted getting an absurd 21/20 score
We all know Tom Chick is going to give this game a 4 (2 stars).
An amazing game like The Witcher 3 is only at 92. Times have changed. I'm not expecting this game to be in 90's.

Never said they were. They are not changing the release again.
Just like Joe gave TLOU a 10 and called it a masterpiece. Lol you guys need to chill.
Same here. I'm expecting record breaking sort of stuff. We should find out post launch with the sales of the title how true that excuse was. I can't wait personally to see how the game ends up selling.
I wasn't around for the Uncharted 3 thread, but I quite enjoyed it, and it's currently sitting at a 92 on Metacritic (despite some Making it seem like it's the worst game ever made).Everyone can make a dissapointing game.
Its good to keep a healthy sceptism no matter the track record.
The idea that ND can do no wrong was one of the reasons the Uncharted 3 review thread became such a shit show.
Soooo can i get my copy now? Screw the whole world
Yea im selfish
No.I hope I get to play this someday. No idea when I'll be able to afford a PS4.
Is it coming out for Mac too eventually?
But the game has gone gold. What would ND need covering for if the game is finished?Do they really need seven weeks to print 5 million or so copies of the game? I mean, the first three sold on average 3.5-4.5 million and if you add the extra install base of the PS4, new uncharted fans, and the increasing digital sales I don't see this game selling more than 6 million disc copies lifetime.
I feel like this delay to May was less about needing shipping time and more about Sony covering for ND delaying it again, thinking that they'd burn good will with fans for another delay, but really I'm sure most fans don't care.
The shipping excuse was probably to take the heat off of ND.
Other AAA publishers do worldwide launches a 2-4 weeks after a game goes gold with no stock shortages so I highly doubt Uncharted 4 needs this much production time.

https://blog.eu.playstation.com/201...ake-collection-is-coming-to-ps4-this-october/Since the launch of the PS4, we’ve seen plenty of requests across our Twitter, Facebook, and message boards all over the internet for the first three games in the Uncharted series, which have managed to sell an amazing 21+ million copies and garner an average 92 Metacritic rating, to receive a remastered release.
No.

I also see UC4 being 8-10M LTD.
Well, this is perfect for me. My school ends May 8th and then 2 days later, Greatness arrives.![]()
Hey, I want to play the game so bad. I just don't get why the game was delayed two weeks and Sony needed to say anything.Wrong. The first 3 sold 21 million + (before the NDC came out.)

Also, how is it Sony covering for ND? Even if you don't believe the manufacturing excuse, the game is already done.
I don't care how it'll review. The beta was enough to get my pre-order. But it's still fun to predict and speculate how it'll reviewReally don't understand the relevance for game scores for a series if you're already so familiar with it and know what you want from it.
What difference does it make if it average 7.5 or 9.5 out of 10 if what you take from the game is completely independent of a "professional reviewer."
I get that some people use metacritic and such to explore games as a starting point.... but surely that doesn't apply to anyone that has already played several hours at least of one or more Uncharted games.
If Polygon does give it a 7 or 7.5 it will fully confirm my suspicion of them from The Last of Us. Also, Eurogamer doesn't do scores anymore.
Fully expect polygon 7 or eurogamer.
Same for me. I don't care but I don't mind participating. That beta was too good to care about review scores. I just played Uncharted for the first time last month and UC4 will be my first experience with UC MP. I'm looking forward to it.I don't care how it'll review. The beta was enough to get my pre-order. But it's still fun to predict and speculate how it'll review. I won't get my panties in a bunch if someone reviews it less than 90.

We should get the next making of video on Wednesday. It's the first of two parts called "pushing technical boundaries."
Hey, I want to play the game so bad. I just don't get why the game was delayed two weeks and Sony needed to say anything.
1) It was only two weeks, it's not a big deal, so why make this press release about it saying it's about "simultaneous worldwide launch" when other publishers can do that in smaller windows from gold to retail.
2) The game went gold almost two weeks after that "delay" so why not just let ND finish the game on the normal time frame and print the game? Like I said, Sony doesn't need seven weeks to print 6 million+ discs.
To me, it screams huge Day 1 patch and ND not wanting fan backlash for delaying the game a third time in a calendar year.
Also, 21M divided by 3 is 7M. I assumed 6M discs sold + digital sales, which would put them at around 7M or so on average. I'm expecting U4 to sell 7M+, but likely 20% of that being digital if not more. So that means even less discs for Sony to print, so why the extra two weeks?
Yes, how dare people not liking what you like right, it must mean they have a hidden agenda!
First off, you are under the assumption that all situations are equal between different publishers. There are always things behind the scenes that we may not be aware of. TLOU had stock problems even though it was a pretty hyped up game and they're probably trying to avoid such a situation.Hey, I want to play the game so bad. So there could be some spoilers in the air already.
1. (mild spoilers) This one comes from the art book, preview pages were released. Had a glimpse in there, nothing too heavy on spoilers, but it might reveal a 1-2 "potential" set pieces (1 of them, I think, was already revealed from the E3 demo, the other it's a bit interesting and might channel one of the best things about U3), 1 enemy type and 1 character costume design which may or may not be a spoiler depending on how you look at it.
Here's the link:
2. (HUGE spoiler) Posted on reddit a few days ago and It "seems" legit because it was part of presentation of the designer of the chapter/level and Now its GONE, link dead, can't even find it on google. It's not end level spoiler, might not even be second to last chapter spoiler but it definitely looks like last few chapters spoiler, I'll just leave it at that. (This might have been that one spoiler that was flying around a few months ago, so it might not end up being real, I hope)
Me and my weak ass self control -_-
If I suffer you all should too XDAnd you would post this on Neogaf for more people to see this and DIG DEEP SO HARD THAT THEY WILL NEVER STOP LOOKING...until the game releases.
