If any game can break that trend it's certainly a Naughty Dog game, but I still don't think it will. A 92 is the new 95.
I'm not one of those though, I personally rate Uncharted 3 an 8.5 at most.

I mean, the most recent preview event was dedicated to showing how much they had changed things up for the series in terms of gameplay, so I highly doubt that.
Gonna say 95, last gen it probably would have been like a 98 or something, but actual review scores skew way lower than last gen.

I agree with whoever said 87-92. Would be a huge surprise if it goes above 92 and there's a possibility it might end up in the very high 80s.

that's what determined it for me back in 2009 when Uc2 came out. it was the impeccable press that got me to check that game out.
I'm not, my original post came out wrong and after rereading it I made it seem like I wouldn't accept a low score for this game, for that I apologize to everyone.

It's gonna be 95, and we will still have plenty meltdowns. Honestly, I don't even care if it's in the 80s. Everything I've seen from the game has looked sublime.

You want them to blacklist Polygon because they gave TLoU a "bad" score? (I'm guessing that's the 7)

Classic case of immaturity. Funnily enough U3 is closer to an 8 than a 10.

The grandest irony is that after playing & sleeping on the game, I'd wager a lot of people in that thread would agree with the Eurogamer's critical review more than IGN's universal praise.
I was on the U3 wall of shame because I pointed out a review that seemed to criticize things that made no sense to me. It was following U2, what I considered to be a top game in history, so I needed to see valid criticisms.
I had lots of faith in U3, but in the end I learned what had happened to the studio during its development, and how Druckmann took a team to begin the TLOU concept, and suddenly the disappointment U3 ended up being made sense.
For U4 I expect it to have glowing reviews like TLOU because it's the same team. Some reviewers won't like it but I think it will do better than U3 because it seems confirmed that it doesn't have the issues that game did.
