Uncharted: The Lost Legacy |OT| Ladies Trip

It's amazing to me that this title was only $39. It's as triple A as games come. They could have easily walked back their intital promise and charged full price here.

This is an absolute steal for a game on this production level. The game isn't even that short either, and includes multiplayer.

So I bought whichever digital edition allowed me to download this for free! Pretty dope. I was disappointed in Uncharted 4, but am still looking forward to this.

Like 1/2/3 before finished this in one sitting just now.

It was very "been there, done that" in terms of gameplay. But it was so refreshing in terms of characters, absolutely loved it.

Chapter 5. That opening vista. Bah gawd.

Kind of funny how much I'm thinking about Tomb Raider in comparison to TLL. (spoilers for Chloe)
It's always about the dad's ain't it?
Fucking awesome.
The disc was loose in the case when Amazon delivered and now for the first time ever since having a ps4 back in 2013 I'm getting a disc can't be read please close application screen.
Are there scratches? I always felt like blu ray discs could take a tank shell and still keep going.

Looking forward to these LTTP threads where they feel like tools for missing out at launch.

I hope not. The price is great, well worth picking up, best playing UC in a long time and something I would like to re-play again ( which I couldn't really say for UC4)

The OT is missing ass in the title.

The problem is that the suits might blame the drop in sales due to a female lead. It's going to be a combination of "dlc" stigma and female lead. Shame because the game is a ton of fun and Chloe is awesome.

Finished. Fantastic entry into the series. I can't believe this was made in a year and that it's being sold for $40. It could have been full price in a couple years and still been worth it.

I don't think that will matter with ND. Their execs are totally onboard with their calls. ND stuck with their guns in making Ellie the main focus of the TLOU box art back when marketing or whoever wanted Joel there.

One other thing before bed. Combat really flows well in these larger area. Do some sneaking until shit goes loud and you have to start spreading lead and kisses.

Maybe move up top to a tower and jump on a guy from above or pull him to his personal oblivion if you catch him standing too close to the edge. Don't forget to try and dive into some water to escape the bullets tracing around you before popping up and gaining the element of surprise again in a different area.

Swing away in the ropes raining death from above.

And at one point I was on a big ass turret gun mowin' all them fools down.

Fun times.

Started chapter 7 then stopped for the night. Whew this game. Chapter 5 was one of the most stunning areas I've ever seen.

UC3 was mainly modern areas or the market in one city. It was mainly desert in another section. Even the lost city wasn't really that interesting.

In Uncharted 3&4 something was missing. This takes me back to Uncharted 2. Feels good man.

Also ND is definitely doing a open world game after last of us 2

Pretty underwhelming so far. I'm at chapter 5. Not digging the combat encounters, no set-pieces, no globe-trotting, the writing is so-so. Graphics are great, some of the puzzles are neat. I want more linearity and environments.

Thread is tiny for an uncharted game. Are people really going to sleep on this one?

I love female protagonists. My main doubt is only coming from the DLC. It's a DLC for Uncharted 4 with $40 price tag. When I hear that it's a DLC, the first thing that comes to my mind is that it's gonna be short. I don't really hate short games, but $40 short game is asking too much. Though after checking HLTB, it seems that it's not that short (8 hours to finish), so maybe I'll get it later on sale.

It's not DLC. It's a full 6-8 hour game on par with (and/or surpassing in some ways) the rest of the series along with 4's full multiplayer component

Just hit chapter 4.

I think Naughty Dog did this and UC4 as a dry run for a more open world game. I can see larger set pieces in TLOU2, definitely whatever comes after that will be much more open.

While i have not finished it, Chloe is still a fantastic character, and her taking over the franchise, if it continues, would be fine with me.

It's a full game. Longer than Uncharted 1 and on par with 2 and 3.

I totally expect larger open world sections in TLOU2. They already were experimenting with this with the wide linear areas in the first Last of Us, like the group of suburban houses.

I fully expect a driveable car and maybe a small town in Last of Us 2.

Still surprised people think this is DLC instead of a full game. I'm getting deja vu from 4 but it's still an excellent game. Really love the banter between Chloe and Nadine.

there's a lot of media/writeups and posts ITT about the game. maybe do some research.

good thing you didnt watch the trailer :)

Jak is back.
I really want new Jak game where he go on space adventure with the precursors. Maybe a bit too similar with Ratchet and Clank, but if they can just focus the adventure on just 1 big reall detailed planet onstead of Ratchet's multiple smaller planet. That'd be a good distinction.

Literally half the commentary on this game has been about how it's basically as long as the average $60 game these days.

After how disappointing 4 was, I honestly thought I was done with the series, so I paid zero attention to any of the pre-release stuff. Decided on a whim Friday to pre-order for Jak.

Ended up paying off. Best surprise of the year, if you can call Naughty Dog making a great game a surprise.

It's amazing how a lighting upgrade can improve a game so much! TTL looks much better than U4. Best looking game so far.

Yeah, that's my problem. I never did any research. What I did was watch a trailer and made my decision. It looks like Uncharted 4 so I thought it's a DLC.

what a ride, game took me 7 hrs and 47 min to complete, so longer than Uncharted 1 and basically the same length as Uncharted 2/3 for me, though I agree with someone's comment that UC2/UC3 both felt like longer games.

that being said, it is outright crazy that ND produced this game in 1-year, and the best part is this wasn't even their main guys leading the way here. They got new talent that might be able to break off into a Team 2 if they ever decide to go the 2-team route again. Maybe you will see some of these guys branch away from TLOU2 development if Straley does come back early next year and starts his own new IP.

Also, letting their other lead staff take a crack at something like this can help keep them at ND versus exploring other options if any of them are looking for bigger profiles more responsibility overall in the game development process.

Imagine TLOU2 coming out in 2019 and 1-year later getting a 7 to 8-hr side story that it's own separate game like this, would be flat out awesome if it happened again.

Spent like 3 hours on chapter 4, masterpiece of a chapter. Just blows away what they were trying in Madagascar. When did Uncharted get good puzzles, holy shit. Actual exploring, actual puzzles, great mix of combat situations, man naughty dog needs to expand on this even more!

This game is more Tomb Raider than the new Tomb Raiders. It's actually pretty impressive
