I loved this game so much. Took me around 7.5 hours and it was just wonderful from beginning to end. Here are some thoughts.

-Chloe and Nadine were great together. They get a lot more depth here than when they appeared in previous games and I grew to like them a lot. Seeing them warm up to each other was fun.
-Chapter 4 was pretty cool and I think really captured the feeling of being a treasure-hunter/explorer. The side quest thing was really neat and I liked some of the activities they put together for token collecting. Also am I crazy or
depending on when you get to certain token locations the enemies may have blown up a wall and put the token in their lockbox? I played through the game twice and think the place I found they did this was different each time. I could be wrong and it was the same one though.
-It has a couple of my favorite puzzles in the series:
the shadow one in particular, but I liked the one where you jumped across platforms while statues swung weapons at you too.
-The combat is great even if there isn't a whole lot of it. The level designs for the encounter areas/arenas is really excellent. Not sure if it matches the best of 4's, but it is uniformly great here. Using the grapple is still awesome.
-A really nice group of setpieces. The
final chapter with the convoy/train/Asav fight
is I think the best they've done. I liked the sort of quazi-boss fights they did with
the helicopter and APC
. And the bit where
you get trapped under water and have to lockpick your way out was a neat smaller one that used a new mechanic in a cool way.
-Along with
the final chapter
, my other favorite moment was
the elephant part. Elephants are my favorite animal and I was really hoping one would pop up in this game since it was in India. Helping and then riding the elephant put a smile on my face!

I don't know, those are just some random things that are springing to my mind. I loved the game. I'm not good at ranking things right after playing them. I usually need a little time to get a proper perspective, but I'd put this close to my other favorites in the series 2 and 4.

There's sort of a useful bug in how Chloe will grab stuff. Sometimes as long as you can get the icon to appear, you can grab things from like 3 feet away. That ended up helping me a lot.

I don't want to complain about that section because I really like the idea of it and Crushing is called Crushing for a reason but your margin of error on that part is razor thin and you can be spotted from 6 different directions at times.
It's why I like heads hotting the non-helmets and the RPG guy in the back right on that tower to limit the eyes on you.

It very much became an endurance test in how I was accomplishing it by letting guys wander over to me once I had 3-4 C4. Also, sometimes the APC will literally run over guys and kill them for you which seemed like a nice bonus after my 30th attempt.

Good luck! You will eventually do it if I could.

I did it! But in a completely different way than planned:
I was spotted when I took out the guy that passes the first crate with the silenced pistol and the C4 and decided to just camp in the room. Every enemy in the area except for the RPG guy came running to me and I could take them out without too much trouble, afterwards I managed to become stealthy again, took out the RPG enemy with the silenced pistol and collected enough C4 and RPG ammo the take out the APC. The reinforcements totally caught me off guard, but I had one rocket left and managed blew up the truck. Glad this is over...

Buy the Rocket Launcher 😎

Haha, I'm on my first playthrough, so no cheats for me^^

Just beat it on crushing on my first run through. I absolutely loved every minute of it...outside of chapter 4. That part was really not my kind of thing. Like, it will be tough to get through that part on replays for me

Anyone using a guide for collectables?

I did. I used the ones by Powerpyx

Awesome!

Yeah, I did the
reinforcement
bit in one go as well. No idea if there was a checkpoint before that or not. I'm scared to think if there wasn't.

3 has the worse encounters and story in the series, and the set pieces, while impressive, feel awkwardly jammed into the plot rather than the natural pacing of 2. Like the ship graveyard and cruise ship felt like such a pointless and overlong tangent just so they can fit in the capsizing cruise set piece.

2 has the best pacing, best balance of action, puzzles, and slower character beats (at least until Lost Legacy), and the most varied set pieces. Stuff in 2 like the tank cat & mouse and the train are level-length set piece encounters that are more than just cool scripted moments

I loved both SG + CS. the level with the moving platform on water was amazing also. UC3 would have been a perfect game if they a) fix drakes weird animation b) added 1-2 more chapters at the end because of how it seemed to come to an end so quickly.

Welp, I was dead wrong (thankfully) about who I thought Asav's expert was gonna be, haha.

Just got to chapter 7. This game is taking me forever because I'm spending too much time in photo mode. Send help. xD

This game is probably my favourite Uncharted so far honestly. Hitting all the right notes in terms of pacing, encounters, set pieces, banter, characterization, etc. And OMG
the elephant, I wanted to cry
.... "so fucking cool"

Btw is there any way to replay the old chapters with the
bracelet that finds treasure
? I imagine it would really help, I haven't missed
a treasure since I got that bracelet and I wasn't even really looking that much
.

yeah you can. the game allows you to
start chapters with treasures and the queen on you to look for treasures.

This game looks fucking insane, graphically speaking. Chloe's facial expressions are incredible too. I can't even imagine what TLOU: Part II is going to look like on that front, what with their new tech and all.

Only up to chapter 3, but I'm having tons of fun.

how do u mark enemies? Im going back for trophies and noticed theres one for marking enemies...I beat the game on crushing and didnt even know you could do that. This guide im looking at says press L3, but thats doing nothing

You need to aim at the enemy, then hit L3.

This
horse puzzle
is killing me, Can I just skip it and continue on?
The rotating emblem?
Move the outside pieces back and forth (large one through to the right first, then medium in middle, bring back large one to the left, medium to the right, small one in middle, then bring back the remaining pieces and then rotate them
.

Hope this helps lol.

Well, I even tried following a video but the problem was I already rotated them in a different position so I was lost. Too bad you can't put them back in the default position.

Best implementation of HDR in a game. The scene where
the bad guy picks up the tusk for the first time is incredible.

does it have to be a scoped weapon or something? Im standing right behind this guy with my reticle on his back spamming L3 and nothings happening

Edit: that was it, had to be a scoped weapon

iirc it doesn't have to be a scoped weapon? You just have to aim? Maybe it's different on crushing?

Yas queen
trophy. Made me chuckle.

What's funny is that [related to endgame]
M.I.A.'s song Borders used in the credits takes a stab at this meme

Queen (What's up with that?)
Killing it (What's up with that?)
Slaying it (What's up with that?)
Your goals (What's up with that?)
Being bae (What's up with that?)

Just finished the game and WOW at some of those set pieces and environments. Felt like something of a return to form in how huge and impossible the places were, I loved it.

Playing this, I remain thoroughly confused by people who think this series has mediocre gameplay. The combat encounters here are some of the best crafted I've ever seen in a TPS. The mobility, verticality and dynamism is impressive and endlessly fun to play around with.

As usual ND knocked it out of the park when it comes to the cinematic aspects and characters. It's just their M.O. at this point. I was a bit worried when people jumped all over some preview footage with concerns about the dialogue between Chloe and Nadine, and I was glad to see it was all unfounded.

I think I would ok if the Uncharted franchise just turned into this, a lot of shorter, well-rounded vignettes. They have an established group of characters that can play off each other really well, and this game proved that they've got a masterful handle on their gameplay systems, so I feel like they could kind of just keep doing these. Could be a good way for up and coming talent to cut their teeth.

About 2.5 hours in, the usual quality stuff from ND. Love that
Thelma and Louise
trophy. It's too bad they couldn't do this for my trophy screenshot:

I seem to be having a problem with motion blur when I have HDR enabled on a normal PS4(I'm using a Samsung UK MU6400/US MU7000), but it's only affecting the single player if this, not the single player of 4, or the multiplayer.

When I have motion blur on default (10) and HDR off, it's fine, but when I put HDR on, every time I move the camera the shimmering from what I'm guessing is the aliasing goes dark, which in turn causes the brightness of the picture to drop for a few frames. If I turn motion blur down a bit it's fine, but I'm not sure why it's doing it in the first place.

Alright I started on crushing but I'm hitting a damn wall that it's just ruining my experience. If I lower difficulty can I go back to that section later through chapter select and be able to get the trophy for beating it on crushing?

Yeah IIRC you get the trophy when every chapter is beaten on crushing so you can go back later and
use weapon unlocks :p

Alright, finished in 9.33 on hard while taking all the time in the world (stats said I spent 1h30 immobile ;D ) - that includes chapter 4's side quest - and it was really really great. Minor distractions such as bad textures pop in and them being all low rez at times kinda tarnished some sections but yeah.

Game was crazy good and I wished some combat sections were actually longer, other than that it ticked everything you could expect from an awakened Naughty Dog delivering a focused experience.

8.5 / 10 , will replay the shit out of this and platinum it

Also, how do you get unlocking points ? Im assuming by finding all the side content in game but feel free to correct me

Now to continue / finish TLOU for the first time :p

Ooh, very positive impressions. I'll get it on PSN later.

Any significant upgrades for the Pro? Don't worry too much about answering that. I'll have a Google later.

Took me a bit less then 10 hours to finish on Hard, including doing the optional quest and finding a lot of the treasures. This felt more like a legit sequel then a mini Uncharted.

It took the best elements from the previous games in the series and mixed them with the "new" protagonists, an open world chapter, lock picking mechanic and improved/harder puzzles. I thought it was a very nice spin on the usual Uncharted formula, making The Lost Legacy feel fresh. Loved it.

Can anyone here who thought uncharted 4 was awful give me some impressions?
I loved uncharted 2 if that helps but i found uncharted 4 to be a boring slog with poor pacing when all i wanted a fun filled exciting adventure.

The lightning at times really feels like a step up from Uncharted 4, and well, everything is crazy good looking. It's incredible they made this in a little more than a year. And I'm only at chapter 4, the share button will probably be jammed in the end. One small nitpick though is that Cloe's standing pose looks really unhealty and unattractive which ruins some photos.

As for the gameplay it's still as awesome as Uncharted 4. I hope there is a lot of combat ahead of me.

Beat chapter 4 last night. Really awesome section, but I'm glad it's
just a one off and the game becomes more linear again
since it works best as pacing shakeup. They put a ton of effort into the area though it's insane. From the strong visual identity of the different areas, to the unique puzzles/traversal/combat that accompany every single "task" you can do there.

I loved the
Shiva/axe fort
puzzles too. Not too hard, but clever, visually impressive, and super quick to actually do once you know what you need to do.

I hope Naughty Dog doesn't make their games fully open like this all the time, but if they continue to use areas like this as just anothe pacing tool I'm all for it.

It's crazy how much better the traversal is here than Uncharted 4, despite using the same mechanics. They mix them up in more interesting ways, pepper it with combat more, and the scale of the things you climb is a lot greater.
