I was hoping that at least that Roberts, who is entirely awesome, would beat that piece of shit Pittenger in NC-09.

We have been screwed for a long time. NC is a love/hate relationship. Even if you have Dems in office the rules are set up so it doesn't matter. It's always the Reps ballgame.

Neither party wants to get rid of the electoral college because they can divert all of their funding to key battleground states and smear campaigns instead of having to spend in the other 90% of the country. They'd go broke with proportional representation or if every state worked like Nebraska.

Sounds like the solution to me. Make it so difficult to win the parties go broke trying.
