Not bad. What can you do. Dude is so used to winning a loss is a shock. He really thinks he deserved it and the American people lost. Lol.

Not getting the love, that was pretty pro forma and hit the same talking points every campaign speech does. It was classy but not that special. McCain's was a legitimately well written and gracious speech.

What does Romney's crowd have to do with McCain himself being much more sincere sounding and polite than Romney?

The assessment of Romney being not sincere and not polite is just a very unfair assessment. From what I hear and from what other GAFers hear as well is that he went out with this speech on the right foot and he actually does sound sincere.

Wonder if he will be looked back on as a Palin. I think he actually did help Romney a bit, but not enough.

No way I know a dozen + people that were Gung ho for McCain pre Palin and flipped to Obama basically only because of her.

I don't know anyone who thought anything of Ryan outside of mocking his debate performance.

It's almost like Romney was finally a person for once.

Compared to how he has been, that was the first time he sounded like a person.

And now for the GOP to spend every waking moment battling against a 3rd term. Oh? You say we don't have those? Just you wait... this is Obama's America, after all.

I like how Faux News still has Obama @290 loooooooooooooooooool

Romney @203

ZOMG! ROMNEY might still win... even after Romney conceded

Edit: Oh shit they finally updated looooooooooool

I just watched McCain's and I actually liked it a lot more than Romney's. Romney played it cool in the like as a good sport, but too cool. I liked how McCain showed more emotion, because you know what, he should be emotional.

I have to say I'm very pleased and surprised with my country for how well they responded despite all of the evil voter suppression tactics and other republican shenanigans. This could have been very ugly if they didn't persist in voting despite all of those trials.

Well gotta find that scapegoat. I think Palin actually did loose it for McCain. Paul Ryan was sort of neutral IMHO. But I wonder where the blame will fall tomorrow.

Anecdotal, but my wife is republican. She doesn't like Obama but hated Ryan. Said he gave her creeps. Voted against Akin because of rape comments. She is not perfect but I love her. :)

In some ways, I feel bad for Mitt Romney. For the first time in his life, he realizes that money really can't buy everything. It couldn't buy him the Presidency of the United States. It has to be crushing to come to that realization, after many decades of always getting what he wants just by buying it.

Goodbye, Mittens. He was pretty okay for a guy who was born rich, who never had to work a day in his life, who always got what he wanted. He wasn't a bad guy. He was a pretty good governor of Massachusetts, after all.

Agreed. It bothers me that McCain's crowd booed such a humble, great speech.
