Lesson of the night: reality has a liberal bias as long as conservatives choose to delude themselves. Reality is not some postmodern puddy that always lies roughly halfway between what the two talking heads on the screen say. We can verify reality using math and science, and we should not reject empricism and its results simply because we don't like what it implies.

Knowing that I contributed to the little blue square of Dallas county makes me feel better. Looks like a pretty healthy 15 point margin here, too, exactly the same as '08, despite the state as a whole going 6 points more Republican. San Antonio was the same as 2008 as well, and Houston and Austin were only down a percent or so (and in Austin where it's a 30 point Obama win, a point or so is probably just noise.)

Why? The official results can wait a day. The people who count votes need to sleep too you know. Voting was extended for hours in some counties in Florida. It was crazy, the more the Republicans tried to suppress votes, the more voters turned out in Florida.
