This guy quoted a reddit post attacking oil companies and justifying assasinations/terrorism. This has been a recurrent theme wiht the left for the last few years - bernie sanders said he wanted to arrest fossil fuel execs and I saw lots of social media posts calling for killing them getting lots of likes (some posts saying kill them and their families).

Nevermind how evil these people are, can some explain to me how are any sane adults in this world - people in power and ones with fancy degrees and so on - don't understand that the reason oil companies exist is because customers need and buy their product and if it weren't for them there would mass starvation and collapse of civilizaton? What are they gonna do, slaughter rich people working in fossil fuels and then what... Magically conjure new green tech instantatneously? Or go back to fossil fuels and pretend nothing happened?

It boggles the mind how evil and stupid people are, especially 'elite' ones. I honestly can't believe in nonsense like 'common humanity' anymore.

Luigi Letdown.

Kills a CEO in cold blood, makes feds go on a goose chase to find him, and they caught him eating a hash brown at McDonalds.

One thing's for sure. He's no Bonnie & Clyde.

Because he quoted reddit?

I’m telling y’all. Whole story just reeks of bored rich attention seeker.

Dude was going around the world fucking off and doing whatever he wanted right up until this shooting. Went to Hawaii to live in some penthouse commune to surf for a couple of years, then went to Japan to be a weeb.

Real anti-capitalist freedom fighter here.
Are people confusing an-cap and anti-capitalist? I think he is more the former than the latter and they're kind of opposite things

A month ago I'd have told you this is just fringe loonies.

Not I'm not so sure. I do think most people "hell yeah-ing" this guy "aren't serious people".., but it sure is fucked up how this guy is being treated by what seems like the majority of the "online left.," Which to be clear, is full of try hards looking to show off their memes and hot takes to their friends.. and not like.. people actually involved in anything real.

No, I'm just referring to the people that are getting behind this guy. They really didn't like when his social media footprint went viral and he wasn't some communist. But they've been trying to sweep it under the rug and still think of this guy as some freedom fighter on their side... but it's becoming harder and harder to hide that this guy isn't part of "the left." I mean he loves feds lol

I bet they'd like to take back all the calling him "hot" too lol They'd probably have been saying this exact dude looked like a typical incel under different circumstances.

Yeah that wasn't my takeaway at all. I think there was a ton of bipartisan support for this guy on the left and right. Including in this thread earlier frankly.

Yeah I guess. I've been interacting with the wannabe socialists who have been getting behind this guy too much probably (all of whom are pulling down decent tech industry salaries).

I dunno, most of the people I've seen recognize that all makes it a better story and harder to make him a partisan villain.

Support across the spectrum is how it appears. Supporters self-identifying in different political spaces, also pointed out by observers.
The few that are just simply calling them all commies without reservation have an unwillingness to acknowledge the reality of the situation.

It’s still amazing to me that nobody cares about the dead guy. UHC didn’t put up any reward $, and I heard that they went ahead with their meeting the day he was killed.

What a trash way to have it end by this goofball kid

How a former landlord knows that?

You Are Wait What GIF by Wahala Room
The "landlord" is a guy who rents out a nice penthouse in a high rise in Hawaii as a "commune" of sorts, probably something they started doing during COVID since it's advertised as a place for remote workers. He lived there from at least 2022 to fairly recently, so maybe 1-1.5 years total, and I imagine the "owner of a commune" might be a bit more than a "landlord" to these people.

edit: I guess it was only 6 months in that particular spot.. but it sounds like the landlord lives in the same penthouse that they've divided up into rooms.

The 286 thing seems to be pretty legitimate unless I’m missing something. He fully intended to be caught exactly where he was if so. Crazy shit.
What were all the things that supposedly related to 286? Wasn't one of them the manifesto, and it's not actually 286 words long (it's 261 words long.)

Breloom(pokemon number 286) in his twitter pic. He had exactly 286 twitter posts. A bible verse. Denial Code 286. The mcdonalds he was caught at being exactly 286 miles(supposedly) from where the killing took place. Might be more. Id be curious to know how much monopoly money was in that backpack. Wouldnt at all be surprised if it fits in.

Is the Earth flat or curved in this calculation?

The murdered CEO was the son of a factory worker in Iowa. He went to public school and state university--valedictorian at both. Married his college sweetheart, raised a family, worked his way up the corporate ladder over decades.

The assassin's family owns country clubs for the ultra wealthy; net worth of >$50 million. Cousin is a politician. He went to private school (valedictorian) and UPenn (ivy league). Lived a life of a trust fund kid, became disillusioned while traveling the world and reading extremist literature.
There are no peasant revolutions.

WOW! So because the CEO came from humble beginnings, his work at UHC is now forgotten? His federal investigations forgotten?

The killer is where he is supposed to be now tho... Irrelevant

Dude, when I was in the hospital DYING OF CANCER, I said the wrong thing one time; I told one of my nurses that I really liked the IV Benadryl I was given before bed because it provided an instant sense of calming and helped me fall immediately asleep.

This was then twisted to me apparently abusing Benadryl (which can I guess be abused intravenously), and I was no longer given the standard 50cc push of Benadryl before bed.

Meanwhile, I was literally on a Dilaudid dose so high every 2-3 hours that it would have put a heroin addict in a coma. Dilaudid is like eight times more potent than morphine.

The entire healthcare system is completely fucked up.
I wouldn’t let one bad experience sour your view on the entire healthcare system. Sounds like you just had a crazy nurse.

I’ve had addicts as patients who will claim they are allergic to dilaudid and therefore need IV Benadryl pushed at the same time to prevent a reaction. Some doctors will say fuck it and just prescribe it because they were on it prior to admission and it’s easier to just maintain the status quo rather than put a patient through withdrawal to where they will either become combative to staff or end up leaving against medical advice.

I think Benadryl and Dilaudid have a synergistic effect and enhance the high so that might be why they were skeptical.

I heard that he might have been gay.
Even though the initial face pictures came out because he was flirting with a woman?

Look I get not liking the guy but saying stuff like this feels like culture war shit in trying to force a label on him, what next? He's actually Trans? He's got non-white family members? He secretly worked at Sweet Baby?

I think people are buying “his story” too quickly. The evidence he had back surgery is he told a friend he did and sent him that picture in his Twitter banner.

Thing is, that was chronologically after his unhinged Unabomber book review, which that same friend said caused the demise of a book club he was running.

This is all random speculation but it wouldn’t shock me if we find out he never had back surgery, and that he was an infamy seeker creating a back story for himself (pun…..intended.).

It all just falls apart for me because he was a super rich kid living in some commune in the penthouse of a fancy building in Hawaii lol

He also moved to Japan supposedly for six months before all this, but that could be a lie too. Either way it just doesn’t fit anything of this back story either. If you are allegedly hooked on pain pills moving countries is a bad idea.
It’s not a bad theory. I can buy it.

Has anyone applauded UNH for the claims that they do approve? I’m sure there are cancer patients that have gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars covered thanks to this insurance company.

Instead, we’re hearing the outrage over the unapproved claims for whacky, unconventional treatment like bee venom therapy for auto-immune disorders or fecal transplants.

Insurance companies are a business. They need to make money otherwise the system falls apart. They’re not going to do that by approving every claim.
